The following players will be released when their current contracts come to a close – Chris Chantler, Danny Livesey, Prince Buaben, Liam Noble, Lee Miller, Mike Edwards, Greg Fleming, Jack Lynch, Lewis Guy, Nacho Novo and Pascal Chimbonda.

Any of these worth a look?

2009, played no more than half dozen games, maybe less. On loan from Doncaster , failed to score.

QUICK EDIT just googled him played 4 games for us. He's scored 12 goals since 2010 in 105 games.That includes 5 in 29 in Scotland just the type of prolific (LOL)goal scorer we dont need.1 in 8 and a bit.1 for Carlisle in 23 season gone.

Miller would be a decent signing but reckon some lower SPL team will snap him up.

If Carlisle, who have been relegated to the same league as us, deem these players not good enough for league 2, why would any of them be good enough enough for us

Yes because the only reason clubs at this level release players because they don't think they're good enough. You've got to reduce your wage bill for a start so higher owners often go irregardless of ability. Also if out of contract players want to leave the club they have to be released.

Out of them Miller does stand out as a player who might be a good signing, he has a fairly decent scoring record at a higher level but he might not want to play in the Fourth Division and that could be why he's leaving Carlisle.
