you just know York will get promoted and so will Cambridge!!! We all want Gateshead for obvious reasons, in fact in all honesty any of the other 2 northern play off contenders in the conference will do, but I bet it's bloody Cambridge!!!

I would like them to come up for the local derby although i'm sure it would be a little underwhelming.

Its probably in Pools best interest for Gateshead not to come up in terms of competition for players both loan and permanent signings.

also with the crowds they get and the stadium they are currently in (i know they are building a new one) I would rather go to Grimsby or Halifax.

Also would it ever be a real derby? People on this thread are wishing them good luck doesn't really strike me as hostile between the 2 clubs.

Or its hard to believe Gateshead would be 5 tiers above you playing professionally

Gateshead would be ace and rival York for a boozetastic away day. I think the train through to Newcastle for pre and post match refreshments then just get the Metro to the ground and back would be the order of the day. Just hope York mess up and Gateshead don't.
