Cousins, that's how he qualifies to play for England. Republic of Ireland were sniffing as well after he was seen walking an Irish Setter.

Is it only me who thinks this kid has been massively over hyped? In previous seasons he wouldn't have even played a Premier League game for them, it's only because they have been so shite and he was something resembling a creative spark next to some of the other tripe.

Just to get you up to speed Mr Mutley:

He is Alex Ferguson's secret love child. His mum was Miss Venezuela but he was brought up by a coven of Welsh witches based in a Belgian chocolate factory. As a child he appeared in an early Harry Potter film so that qualifies him for England.

I agree PJ. Currently he wouldn't get a sniff of the first teams at Liverpool, Chelsea or Man City. He has stood out in a bad team. He's only 19 and only had a decent season in the league. Can he sustain this over the next 10 years or so? How many young kids have had 1 good season the gone backwards? Earlier this season there was an ex Man Utd kid who broke on the scene a couple of years ago and scored a few goals. Went out on loan and is now struggling at Doncaster!

For the record I think Belgium will play him in their next friendly just to get him tied before he changes his mind and plays for Kosovo or Albania.

regardless of how good he might be.....................why the fuck would a ball playing footballer pick England, with our history of only wanting workmanlike players to compliment the defenders.

I swear to god our second rate manager wouldnt pick Ronaldo or Messi, if they could play, claiming they dont work hard enough for the team.

Really?

I give you James Milner.

That rests the case for the defence.

So Hodgson would pick Milner over Messi, is that what you're saying? But you're definitely not being silly.

eh?

Right, let me explain as simply as possible.

You know there is a world cup this summer yes?

You know that England have qualified?

You also know that England have some very talented young players coming through?

That Manu player could pick England?

OK.

You do also realise that Messi cant play for England, but many english players can?

OK. Go through all of the above again before continuing.

Right.

England have a very average player, thats runs a round a lot, and is loved by Woy Hodgson.

He will get picked for England, before many of the talented young players coming through.

All of Barclay, Sterling, Townsend, Wiltshire, Shaw, Lallana(not as young), and the others will not get picked.

Because in England we go with the safe workmanlike option first. so Milner will be picked before some of the above.

As will Lampard etc

And maybe that Manu Player realises this, so has decided on belgium.

Its easy.

Some of them will get picked, but Millner is a guaranteed squad member.

They should all be picked though. They should be picked on talent alone.

add the kid from Everton playing centrehalf, and the kid at left back for Liverpool.

They should be picked before some of the other regulars.

Flanghans had a great season, he should go as cover for left and right back and then you could take 1 extra midfielder or striker.

roy picks the squad like noahs arc though, 2 for every position. How often do you need a reserve right back and left back?

ADG Januzaj isn't eligible to play for England til 2018, and only if he continues to live in the country (citizenship). He is currently eligible to play for Belgium (where he was born), Kosovo, Albania (his parents), Turkey (grandparents) or Serbia (where Kosovo was before independence).

Presumably he doesn't want to wait 4 years to play Internationally.

Was about to say that

And to be fair to Milner he was excellent against Munich and the game changer against Liverpool, it's lazy to say all he does is runaround, I would expect him to be in the squad but not the team

Janet Jazz is massively overhyped, if he was playing for any other team there wouldn't be any fuss at all. I went to Sunderland vs Man Utd in January, few quick bursts of speed and goes down after a strong gust of wind and that's about it.

Was going to mention Milner's performances this season but as ADG only watches Barcelona cause they're mint and pass it loads I didn't think he'd understand.

Id hate it if Guardiola or however you spell it came over here to Man U or anyone else. We already have to put up with Chelsea boring us rigid, we dont need another boring as shite side.

Im no Liverpool fan but im so glad we have a team about to take the title who play good attacking football. Long may it continue.

Was 80% first half.

Think I heard Ronaldo had 16 touches all night, 5 of them were shots.

Of course that couldnt happen under Guardiola as he discourages them to shoot from distance as it gives possession away

TBF Madrid had a game plan. They played like the away team. Sat deep defended well and countered brilliantly. They could have been 3 up at HT. Bayern only produced 1 good save from Casillas throughout the game. Bayern overpassed the ball around with no great speed, meaning Real could get behind the ball. Bayerns wingers had no space to run and always had 2 players on them. Im sure if you looked at the stats most of the play was in the middle between Reals box and the centre circle. Can Pep change his strategy for the return leg? personally I'm not sure. Don't think he has a plan B.
