Just say you had to give either Football or Music up....Forever....which would you choose to give up????

I think I'd give Football up cos sometimes it really pisses me off....Music never does!!!!

Music, no second thoughts. I was brought up living and breathing footy, but I've never been to a music concert in me life so to me it's a no brainer! I just wouldn't get the same buzz from watching someone prancing about on stage as I do from seeing pools score, soz like!

What a strange question for a football site, unless it was to warrant some smug satisfaction.

Do you think it would have been better to ask the identical question to a cricket site? Or even a music site.

Football. Although football was my first love from the age of 6 or 7 I've fallen out of love with football generally - not Pools- , mostly along the lines of "What's it got to do with me?" As parmo says, football will surely kill itself in the near future anyway.
If you go to something like a Leonard Cohen concert you know you're going to get 3 hours+ of enjoyment, won't get short changed by a bunch of prima donnas and will come out buzzing. I'd like to emphasise that's football generally, not pools come rain or come shine.

What a strange statement to make on a site that is as loosely football based as it gets most of the time.

Its a food and music site for people who like Pools

I've had to give up football but music is universal. You can dabble in both but getting music, new or old, is a daily joy.

I saw Joanna Gruesome a couple of months ago. Thought they were decent.

When I was 15 I lost interest in footy and put all my energy into chasing bewers and getting into music. I got it back when I was 19, although given the choice I would drop it in favour of music every time.

to be fair to football, that is a communal thing... and how many people would you never have met or became lifelong friends with, if it weren't for football?

Football brings folks together from all walks of life, it really is a catalyst for a strong community in this town especially

Music is more specialised, folks liking one type of music don't/won't mix or socialise with other music groups, and in fact would fight each other football hooligan style in the 70's and 80's!!!!

This might have changes a bit, and yes there are folks who make friends through music, but I estimate more friendships of the people who frequent this board have been forged through football than through music

I agree Mr.Parmo....I've made some very good mates over the years through Pools and Music!!!!
Infact I call them my 'Footy mates' & my 'Music mates'!!!!

Thing is Mutley, what if in a few years you need glasses? They won't stay on straight with one ear!

Cellotape and/or Blu-Tac!!!!

I'd have to lose an eye, the glasses problem would effect me.

And i like blue tac, more versatile.
