Went to use the last of the Bacon and realised there were 7 slices in the packet not the 6 as advertised. Result. Sometimes the little things make you happy, oh and the fact I feel I have got one over on some faceless multi national money grabbing corporation, due to their error.

That's fair enough but it really rinds on me when you get less than you were meant to.

I only buy my bacon from the local butchers now, it's cheaper, tastier, and absolutely no minging white gear comes out of it.

Even the butchers bacon will have the minging white stuff, aka brine, the only bacon which does not exhude the white stuff is drycure and even then a small amount has been noted during cooking.

You can always make your own, not too difficult and if you want a go. pm your details and I will send the destructions!

I've never seen minging white stuff in butcher's bacon. sctatchinghead
A tiny bit of watery stuff might ooze out, but proper bacon hardly shrinks at all when you cook it.

Anyway, stop egging each other on about bacon. Your brains will scramble if you don't watch it.

Not full of water and keeps its size perfectly.
