I saw Pedersen (with an "e") score THREE goals for Pools from memory?

Remember taking my brother in law who is Dutch to see Pools when Pedersen was playing for us. He knows fook all about football and prefers hockey but he had an expensive coat and kept saying, "Pedersen is goood," in a strong Dutch accent. After about ten minutes everybody round us was muttering about the scout from Ajax/PSV. We were in the Cyril for some reason, was the Mill House closed around then?

He is now clearly barking mad in that vaguely new age way that allows seemingly insane people to accumulate vast sums of money.

Those were the days, when Darlo wore their proper club strip.

I can't believe Ian Clark ran that far to celebrate his goal without a single badge kiss.

You could see how much it meant to him when we scored.

Well always interesting to say who was the best player in last 5/10/20/30/40/50 years etc! We all have our favorite players over the years /decades and often hear names banded about before our time like in my case the great Watty Moore or Ken Johnson who seem to have been awarded best players by most of the old guys in town. I believe even now most of us would really struggle to name just one player who really stood out head n shoulders above the rest? My own opinion is Jan Ove Pederson was the "Special One" even though he played less than half a season. I would guess that everyone who watched this player in a Pools shirt would have to agree he was a very talented player. I have watched Pools home and away over 1000 times and have never seen a player who in every game was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and yes I did see all his games for Pools. Even though I have seen lots of wonderful skillful and exciting players for Pools this man for me was the Special one.
