I really want the Thames to bust it's banks good and proper. Then Boris Johnson and the government can explain to those involved why there's lack of assistance from the Fire Service. maybe it's because they cutting it and of course don't get funding for flooding incidents, but still attend. And only because it London and suddenly important.

I will say that I think there is far too much attention on things that seem to have just started to go wrong in the SE (and their train line to Cornwall) than there has been on everything that's happened pretty much everywhere else.

Even if you're rich being flooded can't be nice but the media are certainly making it clear where they think is important. I've got a mate who lives on an island in the Thames, they've been very close to flooding since November and have been waist deep in water for nearly 4 weeks. He finds it pathetic that the news people have only picked the Thames flooding up this week but also has yet to meet another resident who is blaming anyone for the flooding & as they knew flooding was a risk when they bought the house isn't moaning as its nice the rest of the year.

The media have suddenly decided it was an issue and the politicians decided to pop out for a photo opportunity.
