English Sunday dinners. Especially pork with apple sauce.
Eating shouldn't have to be a chore.

And a whole load of French foods that are adored by the French.

Had pulled pork on the menu yesterday, roasted it slow for 12 hours on onions in a bain marie type doobery and the meat was amazing, moist and soft, the onions put in gravy were out of this world and made apple sauce and added black pepper, took the sweetness off a bit and when all put together on a fresh bun, it was near a sexual experience FACT.

And don`t get me started on the crackling

What is the difference between pulled pork and pork? Does it taste better if it has been pulled? Does who did the pulling make a difference. Is Rebecca Loos involved?

We need answers!

Same for me. There is only one dish that I would not eat for love or money and that is rice pudding. Hate the bloody stuff and yet rice for main courses is delicious. Funny that.

You have to slice roast pork, pulled pork is slow roasted at a low temp, and is not a sexual reference akin to choked chicken, you pull the cooked meat apart with forks like the chinks do with duck, what a difference in taste and texture, most pig is dryish, this is a taste sensation and I just wish Miss Loos had been in the kitchen to assist

Sunday dinners. The embarrassing british staple that the rest of the world laugh at.

Dont get this love of eating so many vegetables at once without any real taste to them.

It really has always amazed me that so many people love sunday dinners.

Take a group of the worst tasting, smelling vegetables, pile them in big lumps together on one plate, with some meat, a couple of yorkshire puddings and hide the whole shitty taste under a sea of gravy.

A big pile of carrots, next to a big pile of cabbage, next to 10 sprouts, next to a big dollop of turnip.

Mmmmmmmm. :puke-front:

I love a good jam and cheese sarnie, if you've never tried it the unlikely pairing of strawberry jam and either cheddar or preferably red leicester cheese were made for each other, I've been trying to get the missus to have a go at one for years but she maintains her assertion that I am clinically insane. Oh, and I love a good roast dinner, especially the sprouts as long as they're only cooked for about three minutes !

I hate those bell ends on social media who post photo's of their Sunday Dinner... Every time I see a photo I feel like commenting and saying "That looks fooking rank".

So if you love it so much why post about it on a thread with a title "foods most people like but you find disgusting"

You obviously find it disgusting, or cant read.

Dibble, you've obviously been fed poor scran all your life. A proper Sunders dinner is a womderful thing, provided whatever meat you have is cooked properly, the veg has been steamed instead of boiled, and the gravy is made from proper meat juices/stock instead of out of a packet.

It's the equivalent of you thinking watching Darlo 1914 Re-enactment Society is representative of football as a whole. Get with the Barcelona food maaaaan.
