I agree, it would be much less time consuming if someone who watched it just let us know who won.

Some of the christian nutters think Nye lost the debate when he was just talking logic and facts. One creationist said that "Our sin keeps us from seeing what is right before our eyes in nature" in otherword bollocks to science and you pesky facts we cant see that God created the world as we are all sinners. God must have a good laugh placing all them fossils about the place and making all the science data wrong.

I couldn't help but think that Nye was being voiced by Ross from Friends.

I just had a conversation with a Chinese lass who had to spend a year at a Canadian Christian school to get into Uni.

We agreed that all religion is based on fear and therefore is absolute bullshit.

I accept that not everyone will concur.

fully agreeing again though

A brilliant way to control people

Free thinkers who can persuade ordinary folks to see the truth of what's going on around them, will always be taken off the streets and removed from society for good.

Best to just let everyone get on with it and do your best for yourself and your family - within the means allowed by the folks who control it all

All the Zeitgeist fillums are good, give them a search on YouTube if you've got the time (usually an hour or two long)

It always staggers me just how many very rational people suddenly go all mental when their religious beliefs are questioned.

Very odd. Its like they suddenly lose all sense of perspective.

Not at all religious myself but understand why some people subscribe to it, forms a framework and a code of ethics for them

If you need to be told not to kill etc without religion your not right in the head.

The sooner religion goes and shown to be the work of people during a period of time when we hadn't the first idea what was going on then the better.

Religion isn't the problem people are

There is a brilliant episode in South Park where Richard Dawkins 'wins' the argument and there is no more religion , fast forward 100 years and different factions of aetheists are killing each other because of differences of opinion on logic.....sadly I suspect that wouldn't be inaccurate
