Cracking match. Faulkner is known to score heavily at the end of limited overs matches and given England's confidence, 44 from 30, even with only 1 wicket left, doens't necessarily mean the game is won.

They are fucking hopeless.

As I said Faulkner is very dangerous at the end and given England's confidnece, even in the situation I initially posted, I wasn't confident.

Not to win from there shows how low England are at the moment.

England are no good at taking out the last wicket.

I think it would be almost disappointing if they won a game on this tour, it's been appalling on just about every level and doesn't deserve any turd polishing wins at the end of it.

In every International game he's played on tour Rankin has left the field with cramp. What sort of International cricketer isn't fit enough to bowl his 10 overs!? He is quickly becoming my Bairstow style hate figure.

Oh and the mismanagement of Root has been a disgrace.

He's played every game bar one and batted all over the place, you can see his confidence is shot to pieces with the bat and he's batting three because they don't want to pick a spinner. Why is KP being 'rested?' It's Root he needs a rest.

I hope this doesn't have a long term effect on his career because a year ago we had a fantastic prospect on our hands.

its appalling isnt it?

The kept him in, with the excuse that they needed his bowling.

And they very nearly got away with it.

Yet Cook and Flower get the backing of the Board.

Cooks captaincy has been shite as well. Without even mentioning his batting.

Nasser Hussain got it spot on.

He said England still have old fashioned views on the ODI game, and see 300 as the target score. Why else would so many "correct" players get a game, whilst others play more big hitters.

Root should have been playing at 6 the last 10 test matches, as i said last summer, instead he was made to open to accommodate blue eyed boy Bairstow, and when it became obvious bairstow was utter shit Root got fucked around again

You have to question the decision to bowl Bresnan at the end, certainly.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they lose the ODI series 5-0 as well. Particularly after this latest nadir. There are few things more galling than losing a match you should have won.

On a positive note Chris Jordan bowled pretty well and Morgan's innings was damn good also.

Not sure I agree he should have kept his spot at the top of the order, he averaged 40 in the summer opening on tough pitches. He's been pissed about and moved around too much.
