In 2001 the then Pools Manager Chris Turner signed former team-mate Gordon Watson (12.5 years his junior) to resurrect his flagging career. Watson had been at Bournemouth where he'd made 11 league and cup appearances but had failed to score. He then went on to score 18 goals in 31 games that season.

In 2014 the Pools Manager Colin Cooper signed former team-mate Marlon Harewood (12.5 years his junior) to hopefully resurrect his teams fortunes. Harewood had lately been at Bristol City, making 12 appearances and scoring 1 goal. ... :pray:
