Yes, I know, I am a dinosaur.

I have just got a new tele (my first HD one :uhoh: ) and its 3D. Apparently its Smart as well.

Does it show all programs in HD, or do I need to have sky hd or something?

If there is a footy match on sky in 3D will I be able to watch it, or do I need to pay for sky 3D or something?

Oh and if I want to watch a DVD do I need to have DVD player that is HD, or will the tele just do it?

Is everything this complicated?

Oh and its got freeview, but my tele doesnt have a digital aerial. So how do I get the freeview stations.

My head is hurting already.

Does it show all programs in HD, or do I need to have sky hd or something? No it only shows programmes broadcast in HD, you generally need sky or some bbc HD on freeview

If there is a footy match on sky in 3D will I be able to watch it, or do I need to pay for sky 3D or something? see above

Oh and if I want to watch a DVD do I need to have DVD player that is HD, or will the tele just do it? You need a bluray player for your dvd and bluray DVD (ones with blue top)

Is everything this complicated? No your just old

Oh and its got freeview, but my tele doesnt have a digital aerial. So how do I get the freeview stations. I thought all ariel outputs are now digital as analogue went last year so just scan the stations using your tv.

see the last bit? My tele has never been digital so the aerial is an old analogue one. Only watched sky on it.

So do I need a digital aerial then?

And when you order sky say you want 3D, it costs no extra, they just add it on.

Also make sure your blu ray player is 3D compatible, then you can get 3D blu-rays.

Yeah you can watch dvd's on a blu ray player, and I think it's a tenner extra for HD.

Are you being daft for comic affect there  Blu Ray is just the name for HD DVD (not a guy who sells porno's) so yes you can play DVD on it.

Does any of your kids have a PS3 or PS4 as these are BLU Ray DVD players as well.

With regard to your point about only having sky then yes you would need a digital terrestrial ariel otherwise your tv wont work.

welcome to the board. The lime green ones look gorgeous on me.

I wear them even when not watching the tele.

I didnt choose a tele with 3D. You dont when they fall off the back of a lorry.

You're shagged them. Dig out the VHS player instead. Alternatively try turning it off and ........................

No Luigi. That is why you are now wearing lime green glasses.

Get one of your young 'uns to sort it out. They'll have the whole thing singing in 5 minutes.
