When did MB start accepting articles from opposition fans?

http://www.monkeybizz.net/2014/01/the-d ... stmas.html

Precisely the attitude that ensured that the likes of that arsehole stayed too long.

Rather strange that he calls people keyboard warriors in an article presumably typed on a keyboard.

I have no problem with him getting a good reception, unlike some , but surely it's not too difficult to understand why some people think chanting an opposition players name during the game is a bit weird when the majority of current Pools players don't have songs! Before or after great, during the game? Sorry I still don't get that.

Everytime I see the words 'sir Ritchie' I do a little sick in my mouth.

My God that was painful reading.

That has had to have been written by a very sad old man.

I'm not surprised that even his imaginary friends didn't want to spend the day with him.

"Goodness knows what the reaction would have been had Ritchie scored. I remember when Westy made his first return to the Vic after moving to Walsall the Pools fans were chanting his name throughout the match and gave a massive roar of approval when scored from a corner. "

Am I the only one who cant remember this as at the time I said oh fuck and then was winging at Nelson who let him stand there on his own unmarked.

Whoever it is I fear in the home game against them he's going to get thrown out for interfering with himself.

I havent read the article. Well i glanced at the top and decided it would be one of those boring as hell articles which focus mainly on what shite they ate, the transport and the weather and generally anything but football. Oh and plenty of shite metaphors/similies that is all the rage with people craving attention.

I may be wrong.

Fuck me that was truly awful.

Nelson in the same category of ex player as Solano?

People who thought the reception for Humphries was over the top are the ones who wanted Jones and Luscombe in the side that would of course be Jones who was gifted but lacking something and Luscombe who appeared to look a lot more capable then Sir Ritchie when he wasn't wheezing. Imagine fans wanting to see young players given a chance instead of a player who faded in and out of form so often it was embarrassing.

As for his reluctance to do a match report, but then back tracking to tell us how magnificent Ritchie was when stopping Franks crossing the ball and even somehow making his challenge on Poole sound like elegant football, I think I want to be sick.

I bet the author is reading this thread now, pants around his ankles with a copy of the official Ritchie Humphrey calendar, a stripy wank sock and a how to wind up fans guide.

Must admit I do remember cheers when Westy scored against us.

I was told that on some of the Hartlepool message boards some of the keyboard warriors, many who where not even at the game, vented their disgust at the reception Ritchie received. However many of these fans are the same people who were wanting the likes of Richie Jones and even Nathan Luscombe to be in the Pools side ahead of Sir Ritchie. Nuf said.

Ah so if you don't agree with this chap love in of Ritchie then you're a keyboard warrior..

I nearly fell asleep when the boring guy was talking about his transport details and how he was travelling alone.

Why did he think anyone would care about boring stuff like that?

I was gripped at that point, wondering does his friend call him whilst he's driving? Will he text? Will he be at the game?

To find out he wasnt even at the game after all absolutely blew me away, i had to wake the mrs up and tell her, who went to sleep not long after the first paragraph but was dying to know if his mate made it to the game or not.

This guy should be writing for one of the big tabloids such are his match reporting skills. Bollocks to mentioning insignificant details such as goals, sendings off, or nearly winning it with a brilliant goal you've got to include the key issues like one of Franks crosses getting blocked. Look I know 95% of his crosses get blocked but this one was different.

I actually think we could do a whole sub forum on match reports that miss key incidents from the actually game that would be relevant to Pools fans. It will be very helpful in letting exiles know what the game would have been like if they'd attended with selective amnesia.

As Billys Contract has been a virtual ever-present in Monkey Bizz from day one, are we saying here that perhaps Monkey Bizz has had its day? His style hasn't changed at all over the years and other than the obvious non-appeal of the subject matter to Mr I, I cant see owt wrong with it.

Although I don't personally agree with Billy's Contract about Ritchie, he was describing what a lot of Pools fans at Chesterfield did, and reflects the sentiments of a large number of Pools fans.

He has written dozens of great articles in the Bizz over the years, and is a top bloke.

If you're thing of a bloke whose surname rhymes with 'widdle' them that's not Billy's Contract.

you are actually right to say that. There really are people who idolise him still !!!!! I agree with your assertion of him as an over rated player for at least the final 5 years he was here.
I'm just relieved his influence has gone... it seems that if he was the one held in highest esteem... then what incentive was there for anyone else to excel at the game while a player at HUFC?

Now there are no artificial boundaries to being the best they can be at this club. I got the distinct impression players did not want to upstage him, which would not have been difficult

Really he should have left at least two seasons before he did. You could have said that about many of the squad though.
