I reckon we created six or seven clear chances we missed a sitter after 90 seconds, Jensen made 4 top saves as well, then in the last ten minutes we missed another two or three sitters. It's the most play we've had in a home game all season.

An absolutely baffling game of football.

I thought sussed out what not shooting will get you last season .. No game this weekend so I wonder if CC will get them in for some shooting practice or give them the weekend off...

That's a nonsense we must have had 20 odd shots at goal.

The fact is goals change football matches and we gifted them two daft soft ones in the first 12 minutes. After that they can sit back and hold onto what they have.

A very odd game, one of those ones that doesn't happen more than once a season. My main feeling on the final whistle was one of puzzlement. I reckon we played poorly, yet still dominated almost the whole game. Bury were poorer than us yet hammered us. Ah well, football...

Sums up my view of it.

We weren't 3-0 bad and they weren't 3-0 good.

Their game relied on using the long balls, breaking fast and out muscling us. Our game seemed to rely on not shooting.

Why didn't you have a go at Mr life?? Having been 100 miles in the North Sea I only had to what he said to go on..

PS How many of those "bury" players are on their books .. hope they go pop like darlow .. muppets...

PPS Happy New Year...

Rochdale and Bury could easily go the same way as Stockport because they are a suburb of a much larger city, although that would be sad ... but it's a fact people in those places could easily view themselves as being part of Manchester and therefore the Manchester clubs are still their home town/home city teams

Oldham are not faring much better these days in terms of what crowds they used to get, although they are easily the strongest/ biggest lower league club in that part of the world.

This is the strength of towns like Carlisle, Colchester, Exeter, Hartlepool etc... we are not bolted on to another conurbation so our identity is very strong. This gives such football clubs a stronger chance of survival long term with future fan base in my opinion.

Just how I see it, like
