Great performance. Hard to single out a bad performance bar arguably Austin who gave their winger far too much space.

Dolan had a poor first half but performed well in the second half.
Luke James was awesome, his ability in the air is outstanding and he nearly won it at the end with an awesome strike.

Burgess and Baldwin were markedly better than last week against Burton and controlled the vast majority of the game from the back. Duckworth again was tremendous.

Poole's introduction for the injured Compton turned into a blessing and he also caused many problems.

Monkhouse's sending off seemed innocuous but his dive was blatant for the first and the second was greeted with no real retaliation from the Pool's players. Most likely a red card.

Classic Pool's away performance reminiscent of the last promotion season in League 2.
We more than matched Chesterfield for the majority of the game, even after going a man down. If that is top of the league we have nothing to fear.

I see Darlington Kronenbourg 1664's liquidation was accelerated today by being the only game in Western Europe to be called off. I drove past Grayfields this morning and the pitches looked playable.

Really enjoyed that today, bit harsh on Austin by the bigdog I thought, he marshalled the winger really well apart from the goal I thought? He gave him space, granted, but he did fuck all with it!

I hate to say it...but I think you have a point there, Mr Sussex.

It's now FOUR league draws in a row.

And I fear getting draws all the time won't move us any nearer making a play-off challenge - need to be winning some games.

Points make prizes. But at the moment we're not picking up many points at a time.

Problem is our league position doesn't truly reflect how well we have played during most of the season - we should have moved out of the bottom half a couple of weeks ago.

Fixture list hasn't been kind to us - three tough games against top half teams in December.

We don't seem to have done much since winning the awards in October.

Haven't seen this many consecutive draws since Mr Wadsworth at the beginning of the season.

If you are optimistic, you could say unbeaten in four league games.

If you are a pessimist, you could say we haven't won in four league games.

Great character shown by the team in the these last few games, but all these draws is a concern.

Sounds like the match started off great, great atmosphere, then they score, atmosphere was killed.

Then in the season of goodwill, Chesterfield give us a Christmas present.

Sounds as if that goal woke everyone back up.

Just knew once we equalised another draw would be on the cards.

And I knew the match wouldn't finish with 11 vs 11 and that whoever got sent off, it would be a 'Pools player.

Thought Monkhouse was stupid to lose his disclipline, and it didn't help us going on to try to win the game with 10 men.

Only saving grace being Sir Ritchie didn't score against us. Thought it would happen like Steve Howard at Luton.

Nothing much seem to happen between the start of the 2nd half (45) and the penalty (48).

No I listened to the first 15 mins and thought that it would be a great match. Then they scored and I thought could here a drop in the noise level.

. probs the only thing hat did happen was Around 100 people lost a pint when the pen was awarded. Service was terrible and loads were watchin on the screens as it took an age to be served
and then when the pen was given everyone just ran inside to watch. Pints were just left allover the place

Quite a few managed to get on the pitch with the players when the penalty went in as well

There seemed to be a far few on the pitch like hugging the players. The stewards I don't think threw anyone out though?? In fairness to the fans that did there was nothing between them and the pitch as there was a gap between the advertising boards and Dolan ran straight towards them

My apologies, Mr Elvis - I can only base my opinion of what happened at the weekend based on listening to the internet commentary, as I was unable to be there myself.

Rest assured, if I had been able to attend, I would have been able to have a more informed opinion based on what I was able to see.
