A good comeback and only a right bad decision stopped Franks from getting a hat trick and a 3-2 win for Pools. Foul given against Sweeney by the linesman almost on half time. Have to say we started badly and to be honest there was no shape to us it appeared as if a lot of the players were struggling with whatever formation we were supposed to be playing. A bit of a mess up for their first goal between Burgess/ Flinders and Austin so difficult to apportion blame to anyone individual. We change formation around in the 2nd half and an assist by Flinders with a long ball got us back into the game. Another goal from Franks got us level and we did get on top a little but mainly due to the bad start and fact that we were 2-0 down before half time I'm pleased with a point.

Have to be honest the starting 11 surprised me in that in a way we went into the game without what I would say was a striker although we had attack minded players in Monkhouse and Franks up top.

Anyway as I say it turned into a decent point although if we had started better or played as we have at times this season then the 3 points were there for the taking. But at least the run of defeats on the road is stopped and we can look forward to maybe getting past Coventry on Tuesday and another cup game to look forward to.

Unless the FA decide to have a redraw and as that won't happen then Barnsley it is. Id rather play them get some money than have a free wknd.
