Being the shy and introvert guy that he is, he hasn't mentioned his little adventure coming up on the 21st., so I thought I would give it a little publicity.

Starting at midnight at St James Park, he will be running to The Stadium of Light, then on to Victoria Park, and then completing the set by going on to the Riverside, and turning around to be back in time for kick off against Burton Albion. A total of 65 miles. He is raising money for both the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and the Finlay Cooper Fund, and has set a target of £2013. So if you haven't already done so take at look at this http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundrai ... Smythe1908 and get into the ground early enough a week on Saturday to give him a big round of applause, as I'm sure he will complete this incredible run, equivalent to 2.5 marathons!!

Thank you Billingham Poolie for the mention! Everything you said is true that is what I shall be attempting to do and hopefully all in the name of charity Finlay Cooper Fund ...a charity close to Hartlepool United as you all know and Sir Bobby Robson Foundation a charity close to all football fans I'm hoping to raise well beyond my target figure if possible! So hopefully I can count on you Poolie Bunkerites to throw a few quid into the coffers!

Mr Elkots I'm glad someone listen to Radio Tees and MonkeyButt keep on eating those marathons awesome effort! :D

Can we arrange via Mr Nobby for a collection bucket behind the bar in the Mill House? If so I will pop some money in and I'm sure plenty others will too.

Incredible shout this. Article in Mail says he's never missed a day running since Jan 1 2007? What's the story I remember him from Pools from years ago and am certain he liked a pie and a few pints back in the dizzle. Is he now T Total? Whats his athletic history like? And what pushes a man towards these Forrest Gump-esque feats of endurance?

Definitely not teetotal, I believe a pint of Guinness is his drink of preference, and as he is built like a whippet after running every day for nearly 7 years, can pretty much eat what he fancies.
