Be interesting to see how we do today. Dropping your best 3 attacking players regardless of form is a huge gamble. I wonder who the captain is!! Fingers crossed anyhow

I'm actually struggling to visualise who will play where as official site has stated he is going 3-5-2....

Must be Monkhouse and Franks up front

can't actually work out where the midfielders will play? Holden must be down to play left mid?

Can't figure out who will play where after that from Sweeney, Walton and Dolan?

I'm amazed Walker hasn't made it into the line up in front of Sweeney!!!

will Austin, Burgess and Duckworth form the back 3?

If so Baldwin must have been pushed further forward!!

Any way there are 4 good options from the bench there, James, Poole, Compton and Walker

I think that's the plan, absorb pressure early doors with the wide men sitting back then bring the fast lads on later in the game and push right up.

so it's really 5-3-2 then innit!!!! Makes more sense looking at it like that.

I have thought its pretty obvious whos playing where in a 3-5-2 as MadJohn says...

Flinders

Austin Badlwin Burgess
Duckworth Holden

Walton Dolan

Sweeney

Monkey Franks

but that's not 3-5-2 though is it?

Why don't they say it's 5-3-2, which it is!!!!

Duckworth and Holden are wing backs so attacking its 3 5 2 and defending its 5 3 2, are so they say!!!

Cheltenham unbeaten in 8 in the league, point would be an excellent result

Accrington 3rd bottom only 5 points behind, we will get pulled back in if we're not careful. The play offs starting to look a very long way off.

for the life of me I have no clue why Pools love to play/keep certain players way after they are finished

To be fair, there's only Sweeney left, but how he gets picked is baffling

Walker must be pulling his hair out

It seems strange to introduce a new system, and a fairly rare one at that, in an away game against a good team in form.

I vaguely rememberCooper saying he doesn't like making a lot of changes, keep a settled side etc. Why the F...K does he leave arguably our 3 most attacking minded players plus Walker on the bench. To accommodate Sweeney he has messed up the whole team.

clearly the squad have what it takes... the inconsistencies of them being a little bit inexperienced at times and the tempo from the start of games is something CC mentioned in that interview. It's what's holding us back at the moment, but it will come in time. Might have to be next season like!!

and we'd be even better without passengers!! Only one to alight at the end of the season and I think we'll have the core of a very good squad
