I met my Coventry supporting mate after the game for a pint and he'd been walking along Clarence road and asked directions from some random bloke who turned out to be a scout for Ipswich Town. He was there to look at James and Baldwin, but fook me if he hasn't filled two notebooks about Duckworth he doesn't know his arse from his elbow.

Baldwin started off very well and covered for our other defenders on a few occasions. Had a great game just needs to sharpen up his distribution at times...

I always wonder how true these things are. How will the conversation of went?

"Hi could you please give me directions to the away end"

"No I'm afraid not, I'm only a scout from Ipswich here to watch Baldwin and James I'm afraid.

Was just about to post the same. They are always so willing to share who they are watching these scouts.

well sorry lads but I'd trust this lad more than half of you lot. if he said it happened, it happened. my mate wouldn't have known who the two players this fake scout didn't mention anyway.

Used to work with a bloke who was a scout. He used to go to league and non-league matches all over the north east and would certainly have had a completely indiscreet chat with anybody. What he liked best of all was boasting about being a scout.

Even when pools were Shite in 1997-98 they used to get faxes for complimentary tickets from 5-6 teams in higher leagues. And that is a FACT

So I would be surprised if there wasn't double that at every game now ...
