About the worst draw possible
Even the order of games fucks us, with a possibility Uruguay and Italy could be playing out a draw to make sure they go through

As I said 2 out of those 3 games will see us seeing less of the ball a d defending g being a priority

Is that a definite? Whether we were to finish first or second in our group?

Hopefully if we go out in the first round, which seems likely the FA will keep faith with Hodgson

If they win there groups yes. 1 way leads to brazil and the other Spain.

it'll be a bit like Pools entering the FA Cup. Pools might win 2 or 3, but there's an impenetrable wall after that and there is no means to climb it

Arrivederci/Hasta la vista 3rd Rate English squad - and the risible Hodgson has already pissed off the locals.

You can sort of understand why he wanted to avoid the near 6,000 mile round trip to play a group game in 38 degree heat with 98% humidity.

We are fortunate that's it not one of the South American teams we are playing there .

It will be interesting to see how many England fans make it there, it's not accessible by road from the rest of Brazil the trip from Rio by air just a little bit shorter than Heathrow to JFK plus the hotel and air fairs are through the roof.

The place itself I bet will be amazing just an ultra expensive time consuming twat to get to!

Saw the draw - can't understand why people think we have a bad draw.

I remember watching Uruguay play in the Olympics last year - wasn't impressed with them.

Depended on Suarez too much.

Yes but Suarez is unbelievably good right now, they also have Cavani who is quality.

Plus they got to the Semi finals of the last World Cup.

It's a game England can win but I wouldn't make us favourites to. It's a tough group.

Depends which Suarez turns up.

We can't do anything really if he's class on the night.

Maybe we should stick loads of meat around Cahill and Jageilka's bodies and just hope he takes the bait?

I'm thinking outside the box here because I think we're fucked.

And believe it or not I read an interview with David Luis before the draw.

He was asked what he thought of England's chances.

He reckons "English people don't believe".

A lot can happen between now and June
If come April out English based players aren't trying to snap Suarez out at the knees I will be very disappointed
A tasty two-footer at Brian Ruiz is also in order

The telly companies will get that 2am time moved forward.

And they will end up playing in the middle of the day and we will see a half paced game and hear about hiow dificult it is to play in those temperatutes ad norseum

you do realise the Olympic team isn't the national team don't you??

If not well it is!!

They won the copa America because there a very good side, that comp was in Argentina with messi n co and they blew them all away.

We should be worried about them.

Look at the betting they are favourites for the group

No I know the Olympic team is a bit younger, but it's the same country more or less.

They will be a risk, but can they beat England?
