As for "are you there" embarrassing comment

Why would they change a winning team?? Have you really just wrote that, again embarrassing. If the wicket was gona spin and they had won 10 games in a row they would still compensate for the turn.

The obsession continues

aahhhhh he's back. I wondered who'd kidnapped the real RB and replaced him with a reasonable fair-minded clone. POK and the real RB back in one week !! All's well with world

Do explain

Are you there was embarrassing as he's guessing himself. Neither of us are there so stating embarrassing seemed a reasonable assessment. The. He claimed they wouldn't change a winning team. Again utter bollocks. The Aussies know how dangerous Swann is and they have doctored the pitches to suit. Look at the averages at Adelaide and loon at there line up. Its hardly me kicking off suggesting otherwise. Then finally I wrote the obsession continues, look at my last 100 posts, he has quoted on 60 of them, if that's not obsessive i fail to see what is. Sometimes I write stuff just for him and me and my workmate sit and wait for the reply, I have actually made money off him replying within 5 minutes.

For the record I don't think anybody was at each others throats, I disagree we will play 2 spinners, im adamant the pitch will be a batsmen paradise with hardly any turn at all and I'm simply stating. If that means "I'm back" then I see that as quite strange.

The game will reveal all

I think you'll find I am quite a regular contributor to Cricket threads whoever is posting is them!

Think what you like though, it's strange but at the same time quite amusing.

Who mentioned cricket threads??

Amusing, nah comical is more like it. When I'm bored I just play with the bunker puppet (you) and the time just goes by. In not asking you to stop the obsession, please don't, my days would be very long

It's clear to me who's obsessed. PJ gave his thoughts, RB tried to be clever (by being dismissive) PJ backed up his comments, so RB changes the subject by being inflammatory for no reason. RB would've been better off saying nowt, but he has to have the last word.

Unprovoked abuse from a man who banned me for less. You then ask who's playing the martyr. Although it's obvious from my posts that I don't understand what martyr means.

Interesting to see that 'no chance' Panesar starts. I presume nomark will ignore this in order to have a go at PJ for his 'obvious' comment that Ballance would play.

Decent day for England after losing a vital toss, the wicket looks on the slow side and with hot weather forecast you'd have thought the wicket will get drier and will turn on day 4 and 5. A First innings lead is an absolute must for England.

Can't believe Carberry has just dropped that...

Hopefully it won't cost us anything the bowlers will come back fresh in the morning and hopefully knock Haddin over early.

The next wicket is vital. Iv took haddin to be top batsmen in the 1st innings 11/1 in a double with cook, I see him as extremely dangerous and Clarke dosnt really need a mention. If these 2 get set we could be chasing 500+ easily.

Fairly even 1st day but could have been advantage us if carberry hadn't fucked that up. Hands held up regarding turn, not alot but more than I thought and will only improve come late in day 3 onwards.

I hope that dosnt knock carberrys confidence because the entire slip corden will be on at him now over it

No they won't everyone drops catches, he knows it's a sitter his team mates do and they've all dropped catches you don't do it on purpose. You pat him on the back and say catch the next one not slag him off, I'm sure a fair few are even taking the piss out of him. It's happened you move on.

If Haddin finishes top batsman we are in serious trouble!

Of course it happens but I don't know much about the bloke, is he head strong?? Id bet money if haddin gets a big score the Aussies will remind him constantly when he's batting, I just hope he can handle it. Is he a confidence player??

You do realise I'm on about there slip corden. As if ours are gona get on his back, I don't think anybody would think that

When he's setting up to face Mitchell Johnson tomorrow I don't think he'll thinking about dropping a catch, he seems a fairly laid back bloke there's more chance of him wanting to make amends with the bat and give him that extra bit of determination.

Hope so. If haddin goes early there's no harm done anyway. If not i hope he's got a strong head to block out the sledgers from the slips. I wouldn't normally be worried but after trott there's doubt. End of day he's a professional so should be fine.

Stokes and prior need to preform with the bat aswell. We need knocks from both players especially prior and also our top order need to turn up. Pieterson for once has slipped under the radar going into this and hopefully he can do what he does best.

When was the last time our openers got to 100 in a test?

Probably Joe Root at Lords.

KP has played two tests at the Adelaide Oval he's scored 158 and 226. More of the same would be nice.

Another bizarre statement. Stokes has been the pick of the bowlers so far. He was extremely unlucky with the no ball but showed huge character to keep going and get Clarke and now siddle

I get it now.

In the spirit of fairness we have agreed to bowl with a tennis ball and bat blindfolded.

How else can it be explained.

3 hours sleep and get to watch a masterclass on batting by the Aussies and then that from cook

Shite

Just careless.

Cook barely warrants his place on form.

And lyon is making swann look shite now.

and I notice on this volatile wicket in which Englands batsmens bodies are being smashed  , the aussies hit a record number of sixes in ashes cricket.

I asked this during the first match, and it warrants asking again:

Are our batsmen shite, or is it actually our bowlers that are now shite?

I dont think the aussies would have got 500 against their own bowlers.

Infact it seems we had convinced ourselves it was a slow flat pitch so bowled with absolutely no enthusiasm and belief.

Turning an average wicket keeper batsman into some sort of batting god.

Whereas the aussies just run in and hit the deck hard and fast.

Another embarrassing day.
