I'm am generally not in favour of it but having just read this;

http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/445274 ... two-babies

I see no other punishment befitting of something so hideous. What point is there of keeping an individual like this alive? I feel sick reading it.

He isn't going to be 'cured' though is he Bob? Therefore all he is is a waste on public finances for the rest of his days.

I'm not going to say kill him, but I will say that he doesn't deserve life.

The death sentence has put loads of people off in America...Thats why the state is still executing people.. The Death Sentence only acts as an act of revenge for the victims it has no deterrence capabilities when comes down to nutters.. FACT

The words presented may not be the ones inputted ..Thanks Tapatalk

While I share your outrage Bob, would it be right to kill someone for being completely fucked up ? Nobody who wants to do what he did could be classed as sane surely ? I dunno, what do you do with these fuckers ? You cant let them back out on the streets and he's so away with the fucking fairies he didnt have the common sense to top himself before it came to court.

To be perfectly honest I think what the two women did is actually worse. He did what he did because he is a fucking nut job, wheras they pimped their own kids out to him seemingly in the hope of getting laid. One of them was sucking her own bairns cock on a webcam for him- I'm struggling to think of anything more evil than abusing your own child to try and ingratiate yourself with a bloke in the hope of getting him to shag you.

The whole thing is fucking depressing. Every time you think the human race cant sink any lower it manages to. :(

Reading that I feel physically sick rakxe rakxe rakxe

The guys an absolute monster, i couldnt even finish reading the full article his actions are hideous.

Let him rot in prison and let the prison guards and in mates deal with him. I hope he's tortured every day of his life.

Am I missing something about Bob?

I read the news article on this bloke yesterday but managed to block it from my mind almost immediately because I can even begin to imagine how fucked up him and those women must have been.

Apart from obviously the children involved I feel sorry for his band mates they will no longer get royalties due to no one playing their music and everytime they are mentioned this is how people will remember them. Not to mention that a lot of this happened when they where still releasing records and albums I think I read that he went to a hotel to meet with one of the women after a album launch with radio 1. They where mates from school and how on earth can you fathom that your best mate and person you spend most of your time with would have this in their twisted mind set.

Also why the hell cant the mothers be named and shamed? I suppose its to protect the children but they are just as bad as him in all of this.

Their legal teams will be trying to blame him for their crimes in the hope they get lighter sentences.

Totally agree Bob that the death penalty would not act as a deterrent for someone as far off the radar as this crank.

I also agree with Bob about the waste of taxpayers money keeping this guy locked up.

As Bob says he will be tortured every day in prison and its only a matter of time surely before he either tops himself or someone else in there gets to him.

I don't think the idea is for it to act as a deterrent Bob I just don't think this monster should be breathing. Nobody is benefitting by him being on this planet.

He was a nice lad until he went a bit off the rails though.

As I said in the opening post I don't agree with the death penalty this has made me think differently.

It's a difficult one. We are all genetically different, every person has their own unique DNA structure but obviously in a minority this structure has gone disastrously wrong and created monsters.
Do we pull people out of Broadmoor and send them all to the gallows?
The guy needs to be locked up, preferably forever but I'm not sure capital punishment is the way to go.

It certainly isn't my only response but I'm questioning if this creature qualifies as a member of the human race? His actions are sub human. I'm not for killing people but I'm sure if we can class this as a person.

What is your response?

You can't have a rational discussion of the death penalty if your starting point is baby shagging. This bloke is obviously a complete loon who should be kept away from wider society for his own good as well as everybody elses. Should he be killed? Maybe yes, maybe no, but the answer has pretty much no relevance to the death penalty in general.

I would kill the lot of them, who ever feels it right to sexually abuse a baby/child/girl/boy or
whoever, I would bet that if these sick people knew they were going to face the death penalty
if convicted of such a sick crime, then it saves everyone with the what should we do with them ?
I just cant get my head round the fact that people would not want this scum bag dead.

There are plenty of fucking horrible adults living amongst us, the sort of not nice people who should be thrown into a pit of their own excrement and left to rot. Many of them have done things that are as bad or in some ways worse, yet we probably walk past them in Asda or even stand next to them at a football game. I'm not just talking about sexual abusers but physically and emotionally violent people who destroy the lives of those around them and have no moral fibre. But where do we draw the line?

If I was a parent of the victims of blokes like this I know I'd want to throttle them, but I'd prefer to make them live in misery and fear where they couldn't harm anyone innocent again than put them down like a sick dog.

The death penalty probably gives people who commit these crimes a way out, true suffering and punishment for people is what occurs in their heads when they either realise what they have done or have to live with their own damaged mind over and over without ever being able to move on.

This issue is a real problem for me.

I am 100% against the death penalty.

Yet if anyone harmed my kids, I would kill them. I wouldnt need a court case.

And thats a 100% guarantee. I would get them. Dont care how long it took, justice would be mine.

Yet, I loathe the death penalty.

Hypocritical I know.

I don't think it is hypocritical the death penalty for crimes against people you don't know can be considered with some form of rationality.

If someone harmed those you care about (even in a small way) then an instinct to protect or seek vengeance can take over and as much as we can agree on here that if someone harmed our kids we'd hunt them down like a pack of dogs chasing a fox the truth is we don't know what we would do as much as we'd like to think we would turn into Liam Neeson's character from Taken.

Sorry but this is bollocks and please dont talk about stuff you dont have the faintest idea about. Only 5% of your DNA structure codes for how you appear and are made up, this has nothing to do with how a person "attractions" are as you inherit the code from your parents. If you said a specific disease like Down Syndrome then you might have an argument.

Its the difference between society killing individuals and individuals seeking revenge isnt it? Capital punishment for me is just barbaric, but I can completely see ADG's point - if it was mine Id look for revenge and I wouldnt waste my time with the courts, I wouldnt be thinking of the consequences to me, I would just be after the fuckers. But thats down to me - my decision. Not the state decreeing who is killed for what crime. Thats a shit-laden slippery slope we should avoid.

I don't think it is hypocritical the death penalty for crimes against people you don't know can be considered with some form of rationality.

It's a difficult one. We are all genetically different, every person has their own unique DNA structure but obviously in a minority this structure has gone disastrously wrong and created monsters.

I'd say that to do things that cross a moral threshold you need to be emotionally damaged rather than born that way. Some medical conditions can make people behave in ways that are not acceptable (ADHD for example) but this doesn't make them genetically bad.

Normally something happens to a person that changes the way they view the world and their sense of right and wrong, often abuse or mistreatment when very young but sometimes its a mental illness that has laid dormant.

I think I was agreeing with Dibble, I just didn't think it was a hypocritical view to have because the death penalty and making a decision to seek revenge are different things.
