Download a program called XBMC, its a free open source software/program. Once you get into it you can add plugins called repositories. These are like small apps. I use Icefilms, One Channel and a one call Mash Up. It gives you access to nearly everything out there including all the latest films and the like and the majority of it is HD content.

I just bought a old computer and have it sat under me telly running it, stuck a HD tuner in there too so get all the freeview HD terrestrial too. No need for a Sky subscription anymore!!

You can get most footy through it too using Sports Devil but the quality can be painful if you dont find a decent stream.

Hope that helps you fella.

To be honest I am going to try the XBMC and the watchseries as I have the first clue about that Proxy stuff.

I honestly didnt have a clue up until January when I decided to get BT vision ripped out.

Its really simple, as long as you can connect a PC to you tv your already winning!

The XBMX software can be quite daunting until you get you head around it. Now I wouldnt dream of paying for sky or owt (although I do use me mothers sky go through Xbmc so the kids can watch cartoon network).

You can get it up and running on a £30 Raspberry PI but its totally slow. I just got an old dell computer and spent about 100 on upgrading it.

Aren't these services all a bit of a con now??

We bought a telly with an onboard computer and we've had wi-fi for a good while. We just go online and pay the cable charges which are cheap but the price for the service. We can get pretty much anything.
