Excellent post,

It's going to be a very nervy day on Saturday.I'd love to win the league but if we don't at least I know it's going to another team that deserve it. You have had a fantastic season and deserve to be where you are. I love the P next to our name a C would be the icing on the cake, but I'm not greedy.I will be celebrating again on Saturday whatever the outcome.

Good luck to you, but just not too much eh:grin:

see you all next season

for some reason yesterday, I wasn't that upset because the Swindon/MK results mean that it's all set up perfectly for us on Saturday. I actually think that, dropping down to second takes the pressure off us and puts it firmly back on Walsall - it's now THEIRS to lose!!!!
I also think we will win next Saturday, regardless of who pulls on those blue and white shirts!!!!!

Think about it.

What a final day we have in store. And the worst that can happen is we get promoted and finish second. Not a bad, worst case scenario is it?

So.................in this season of record breaking, at Pools, Stockport, and various other clubs.............it was bound to end this way.

Walsall have been tremendous all season, Swindon and MK Dons have been up there all season. Bury had a fantastic run, until we beat them. Darlow even had a fantastic unbeaten run....until we beat them. Rochdale are on fire. Stockport couldnt concede a goal. Come on guys this season has had it all.

And now the finale.

If Walsall win they are champions. And they celebrate at Swindon, who, if they lose, will be demoted to the play offs, probably. That'll be a strange and weird atmoshpere.

If Walsall draw, they have to wait for our result, but both them and Swindon are promoted...............and While Swindons fans go mental, the Walsall fans (The ones from UTS) will be hanging themselves.

Then there is us, and Bristol rovers.

We win, and we wait for the result from Swindon. We win and Bristol Rovers wait for the result from darlow.

And so it goes on.

If we do get the title, its likely that Bristol Rovers fans will be very pissed off. There again its possible for us to draw and for us and Bristol Rovers to party together.

And of course, we lose, leaving Bristol Rovers to party. And some of our fans hang themselves...............despite our success.

Its nuts. Absolutely nuts.

But its been written this way.

So tell you what..................lets just fookin party anyway.............and enjoy whatever next saturday in this fookin barmy season brings.

Its gonna be a hoot.

At last someone with something positive to say!!

It was never going to be easy yesterday, but I'm glad by all accounts everyone have a great day and more importantly behaved themselves.
Leeds and Carlise could find themselves in hot water over the pitch invasions yesterday.

As you rightly point out whatever happen next Saturday this has been a GREAT season clappp , we are promoted without the agonies of the playoffs, oh yes it's all well and good in the play off final at Wembley, but someone has to lose and I don't want that Cardiff feeling again!

So we have to get behind the lads next week, whoever pulls on that shirt, 100% behind them and lets party on down!! We are up!! clappp

Keep the faith------Keep it Blue & White

Agree with all of the above

Looking at it another way, we went to Rochdale Away, who were pushing for a play off place and had been on a cracking run, needing to better Walsall's result, who were at Home to a team who, as evidenced by league position, haven't been very good.
On Saturday We are at Home, needing to better Walsall's result who are Away to a team needing at least a point for auto promotion.
They may be top of the league but they still need to win to guarantee the Championship.
I bet there are more than a few Walsallians who would happily swop positions and games with us
Bring it on!!! rolf rolf rolf rolf rolf

I wouldn't swop. We are top and it's in our hands, and the way we are playing at home Rovers would wipe the floor with us. Away it seems we play without pressure and just go for it. I think we can take Swindon. It's evenly poised from my position, let the entertainment unfold.
