Really MJ, well that does surprise me.
If Pools were live on the tele doing a training session, that would be enough to attract my interest.
Pools first, Pools second, any over Pools again.

I've watched more than enough friendlies in person. Football on TV is never as good as live football, and friendlies are sleepy enough as it is.

In the majority of circumstances I would agree with you but we're talking about Pools here and I know how much you love Pools. So I'm afraid I don't believe you would watch the alternative, however attractive it may appear.
Of course recording would probably occur.

I wouldnt go that far, but I can think of many things better to do than watch a Pools friendly on the tele.

But I would rather watch that than an Ingerland friendly.

especially against the Krauts ressies.

What a silly argument going on.

Although being completely unaware that England were playing tonight you can only begin to imagine my surprise when I opened our back curtains just as some big nazi head was nodding the ball into the corner of the net.

Finally Cleverley is subbed. He's shit, he would a grand total of 0 caps if he wasn't at Man United.

Walker has been awful, Smalling not great and Ashley Cole is finished.

Lallana looks a tidy player though.

I wish I'd watched the Sweden v Ronaldo game.

I know there are no fucks left to be given but the Poxy Snail guzzlers just played very well and won 3-0. Ribery maintained his reputation in our house as a vile diving and hamming it up twat to get his marker sent off but you have to say job done by the water carrier's selection.

I heard the commentator say:

At least these games will have given Woy a good feel for who he wants in his squad now. sctatchinghead

So as we lost two games, and played very shit in both, I can assume, I think, that the experiment with the young players will be fucked off, and apart from Townsend, the squad will be made up of Woys safe options.

So there will be places for Lampard, Milner, and all of the other rated, over-hyped has beens, that have never let us down before.

Marvellous.

Well once the pointless nature of the Ingurland game was confirmed during the national anthems, I watched the France game just to watch a game where the players actually gave a toss about the outcome. Allez Les Bleus! clappp

Agreed. Completely out of his depth the same as smalling. Walker was Piss poor aswell.

When we had the ball all there midfielders got back and we couldn't break them down. They were solid and organised and basically won the game with ease. We hardly troubled there keeper all game. Our creativity was pathetic. They passed us off the park and strolled through the game in 1st gear.

I watched that last night and it just pained me. The difference between the 2 sides was massive. We were playing long balls as the gaps between our players was huge. There style of play was on the deck with men in support at all times. They played the game properly and Roy's tactics were terrible.

We're to go from here, well playing like that we won't get out the group. We need to change everything. We need to get Rooney up top by himself. Sturridge was awful and the step up just isn't there. We must have a 5 man Midfield. Both chile and Germany destroyed us with simple passing in the middle because they had more numbers in there. We played with 2 much width. Townsend and Walcott provide fantastic pace but we must play tighter and use the pace effectively. Leaving 2 midfielders v there 3 or 4 will get is nowhere.

This is why I genuinely couldn't give a fuck about England.

If these serial under performers are the mainstay of the team then we have no hope. Hungry, young, fit and adaptable players with a young coach who has ideas.

But I am sure that whoever runs the England team someone in the FA tells them to pick certain players for every squad because its bonkers that a number have been immune to being left out for what feels like 20 years.

The difference in quality was just unbelivable, two different worlds.
The germans just look so settled on the ball, they want to keep it, they stroke it they dont pass it and they gradually work there way up the field grinding the oppositon down.

We play at 90 miles an hour, give it to the fast lads, who are just that, fast and nothing else, they run into a brick wall or cross it to the no one, conceding possession easily.

It must be so easy to play against such a basic nation.

I still need it explaining to me why anyone believes 4 4 2 can possibly work anymore.

Its a system designed in this country when we had two hard working midfielders, fast wingers and a giant striker that won loads of headers.

Its a fookin relic.

Yet England still play that way. I think Woy Hodgson should be shot before its too late.

I thought Roy normally plays 4-2-3-1

2-3 on the night, 2-4 on aggregate. Job done.

Apparently Ibrahimovic has said he won't watch the world cup as, "a world cup without me is something I won't be following".

The arrogant (yet supremely talented) knobhead!

I watched the last 1/4 of this game on Eurosport tonight and Ronnie tore Sweden a new one while Ibra did next to fuck all. Maybe Sweden started better? Did Zlatan terrorise the Pork & Cheese the way CR did the Swedes, or was he just a good finisher?
