When are the poppy shirts going on EBAY?? What do you reckon the average winning mark would be for one?? I know blue and white stripes is considered sacrosanct but in all honesty I think I preferred that shirt to our home one.

It's a very smart shirt n id have it over the home shirt given the choice.

The club could release it as a 3rd kit n make a canny wedge.

This is were the club fuck up IMO and why russ green shouldn't be winning awards. We could easily put the shirt in the club shop to be sold. Its nearly Xmas and 3000 fans have seen the shirt in the flesh. If 1000 shirts were sold the club would make some very good money. Will it happen???? My guess is no. Commercially we are ran very poorly. This is a an opportunity to earn some cash but it just won't happen. If there's a fans panel meeting coming up can someone bring this up. I really think we would sell close to a thousand.

Exactly and I bet loads of others would. All it would take was mr green to use his loaf and we could make a killing

The club shop is run independently of the club, its a kind of franchise unfortunately.

But surely we can put stuff in there?? Do you agree that these shirts would do well if available to buy??

I think they would sell well but Pools can't instruct the company who runs the club shop what to stock.

I think its the best way. I was in there on Saturday before the game and there is a good wide range of stock in kids and adult sizes. Well laid out and displayed, its hard to go in and not spend money.

I doubt Pools would have the resources to run it so professionally.

If the club wanna release that as a 3rd kit they can, that's got nothing to do with the club shop.

They could, but every bugger would be whinging that none were available. As the company who stocks the club shop are unlikely to be able to get a load at short notice.

Maybe not but it could still be brought out post Christmas.

I seem to remember the red away shirt we wore at Cardiff just being worn as a one off at Oldham but due to fan demand they brought it out.

If there are loads of shirts stockpiled just waiting to be embroidered then we'd be laughing.

the designs are usually knocked out when a slot becomes available at the factory. If, as someone said, there's already a shitload kicking about in a factory just waiting to have the logo and sponsor stuck on then it might be easier to find a slot to put 2000 of them through or whatever

If I wanted i could order 60 of those shirts online right n have them by Thursday, if little old me could do that, I'm sure pools could do much much better.

It's their call, money could be made, they've done it once before in 2005. I've still got the red shirt upstairs n that was only meant to be a one off away to Oldham.

I don't want to sound like a negative twat but getting hold of several hundred (maybe as much as a thousand) of them in a full range of sizes is a different matter.

Because of my job I've got a bit of insight into the supply chain of clothing and footwear. A lot of my customers are retailers who place orders often up to a year in advance of when they need them to be delivered. The vast majority of stuff is made in China (including the Pools kits I believe), and to keep costs down it is sea freighted, which can take a couple of months.

If there is a decent amount of tops in a range of sizes stockpiled somewhere in Europe then I'd imagine the company running the Pools shop would be able to get them embroidered and in the club shop within a few weeks if they thought there would be enough demand to justify it.

What would be great is if Uncle Ken has been plotting the whole thing all along, and there's a load of finished tops sitting in Russ's garage as we speak, just waiting for the press releases to go out this week.

I wonder if a few e-mails to the club would maybe reinforce the idea? although as people have said if it's not already on the radar I'd be very surprised.

I'm like a little kid again with this shirt, I really want one!

Totalling just over £3000 with a day to go!
Great effort.

Thought it would be Luke James' shirt that would have the highest bid, yet Duckworths is at £390 and James is £335

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/hartlepooluni ... pg=&_from= a big difference in the price from last year .. may still be worth a punt .. You can add a £40 saving onto any bid as you'll get into the Coventry game for nothing!

They should only bring it out as a third strip if it's out in time for summer holidays and they stock more than 3 in size large.

If you win it are you allowed to wear it straight away or does the normal qualifying period apply?

Since when did that happen? Certainly not since the Club Shop changed hands (was that about 8 years ago now?).

Lets throw it out there..when did anybody on The Bunker last go to the Club Shop to find they didn't have what they wanted, in the correct size?

Just a little tester....

Ditto.

She said they only stock up to 3 year old and from 6 year old so as I couldn't get one for the eldest I didn't buy for the youngest and I either.

Hodcroft and his mam have been using it to put rocks in to drown kittens.

Or they said one was getting raffled.

One of those two I think.
