I'm with you, and I can't see many disagreeing

So we know Brownies and Sweens, how about 'Hey hey we're the monkeys' for that gay kung-fu king?

TOTALLY agree! I think a few suggestions for songs to be played when different players score is in order!

I notice that according to the Hartlepool Mail on Friday night Ken that you are reported as saying you didn't like the playing of James Brown's "I Feel Good (I got you)" over the tannoy when he scored against Notts County, and have insisted that the PA plays "Tom Hark", as it has done for the past 3 seasons when we score.

I for one are wholeheartedly SICK of "Tom Hark", at least 30 other clubs are using this same-old-same-old music at the moment, that number has dropped from about 60 in recent seasons, that's how common it is. The Poolies around me on the Mill House Terrace all LOVED the different music last week, and just about everybody I've spoken to in recent days have said that too. ALL agree that Tom Hark has had it's day.

Ken, we are a forward thinking club in lots of ways, and are often seen as a trailblazing club in fans matters (Monkey Business, H'Angus, HUDSA, getting Two Little Boys into the charts etc...) so why are we trying to be the same as everybody else when it comes to the goal celebration music?

In my opinion, and I'm sure this will get approval further down this thread, we should have a piece of music for each player. It's NOT hard to do, a cd with 20-odd 15-second clips in number order is easy to swing into action. If Tony Sweeney scores, track 15 is pressed and the theme from "The Sweeney" blares out, etc, etc....if the player WANTS Tom Hark, fair enough!

You can reply via Saturdays Programme Notes if you like.

Meantime, thanks for my best season ever as a Pools fan.

Phil Dunn.

Hear hear, i thought the James Brown music when....err James Brown scored was a great touch!

Tom Hark was good when we first did it, but let's move on eh?

Tom Hark was played when relegation was confirmed,I never want to hear it again.
A blast of the chorus of 'Never Say Die' is the obvious choice, its ours & nobody else's.

Don't remind me of that. What a farce, everyone's down and what happens. Someone thought it would be a good idea to play Tom Hark. Couldn't believe it.

Anybody who was near me after the Port Vale match last season when they played that will remember what happened next. I went completely off it, screaming and shouting at the control box where they were playing it. I was NOT amused, how could they insult us like that? That was the defining moment for me when I never wanted to hear it again. I like the old days, why do we need music at all???
