Why was Tinkler playing? Why wasn't Liddle dropped into the back four and Sweeney played in midfield?

Is it me or is Brown getting Halliday syndrome......?defined as the urge to go a trick to far and be disposessed.

Why was Williams subbed when Brown would have went first for me on this occasion.

Why was Foley brought on, as on that sort of pitch, against that sort of team, he was goining to have no meaningful impact at all.

On the plus side, Swindon have to win to get promotion and I'd rather be at home to Bristol Rovers than away at Swindon.....er. I think

general consensus was that brown was one of our best players yesterday. you seem to have forgotten the penalty he won, or was it his fault barker missed it.

second half he beat 2 men in the box and set it up on a plate for porter. not his fault joel ballooned it.

he also whipped in a superb cross for barker 6 yards out that the big fella couldnt convert.

add in the work he did tracking back and you have an excellent days work.

the reason he often seems to be doing to much is possibly down to " boyds syndrome." i.e the opposition have done their homework and have started doubling up on him rightly seeing him as a danger man. didnt stop him scoring last week did it ?

snowy clearly gets to very few games.

tinkler was playing centre half as wilson wanted a fit player in the middle as opposed to 2 unfit ones ( boland and sweeney ) who are both on the way back from injury and are not able to play 90 minutes.

effy gets subbed for the same reason.
O to be as enlightened as you O wise one ....... I really must get to more matches and start seeing things your way.....

General concesus..? amongst who...?

It boils my piss when people were getting on his case yesterday when he maybe should have shot earlier. The lad is what, 19?

He's done fantastic this season, considering he's playing out of position and just recovered from a serious injury. I think he'll do even better next season when teams aren't playing against Pools with the intention of just defending and kicking lumps out of our players.

I was talking about yesterday, not 'all season'..so let's stick to the facts. If indeed people around you were being critical, then it appears the consensus was negative was it not and it was equally as negative around me. I was disappointed by his tendency to try and beat the second defender when it was patently obvious it was not necessary on several occasions allowing their defenders to regroup which I have to concede they were bloody good at doing very quickly and effectively, in those situations time is precious and in this case opprtunities were being missed.
My opinion and I aint gonna change it.

I agree fully with you (as usual  ). Browns final ball wasn't good enough yesterday but I thought he did well, still a cracking player and one of those that fills you with confidence when he's running at defenders. He's going to develop into some player but I'd personally rather see him upfront as I think he's the most natural scorer we have infront of goal and that includes Barker

Chip, we'll have to agree to disagree on the performance of one player in one match ...

Quality post - Brown is going to be a massive asset to this club. Remember this is first season playing first team football and to fair the lad looks knackered. Has ran his heart out all season and with a few games to go looks a little bit leggy. Give him a couple of seasons to get used to it and believe me, this lad will be a star.

Keep the faith

no im not including you snowy. im not talking about people who give an honest opinion on a message board because thats the correct forum to do it in. i also respect the fact that you were one of the few prepared to stand up and defend wilson when most of us thought he was losing the plot.

ive been critical of players on here. i thought boland and one or two others had a poor game yesterday, and said so.

im talking about " fans " who go to games and make negative comments and shout abuse at pools players DURING GAMES. the 2 lads behind us yesterday never stopped from the moment rochdale scored at the start, to the final whistle. whats more they seemed to get satisfaction from pools players mistakes. time and again they would say " look at that. see what i mean. he is utter shiit. " they may as well have been in the home end wearing rochdale shirts.

these clowns are a vocal minority and seem hell bent on destroying peoples careers.

Good post there Mr Chip, what is the problem with them, are they suffering from some sort of mental issue or are there lifes so shite they need to vent there spleen in such a god awful way??

Bunch of wankers, makes a change for them to be abusing someone else other than themselves.

We have lifted our team up many times this season & can be proud of ourselves for that.
We gave it all for a team that went a goal down almost immediately when Walsall came here & played our part in getting that victory.
Unfortunately yesterday we were lumbered with a number of glory seekers who wanted it all their own way & started carrying on like spoilt brats when it was time to show what we were made of.
Their problem is they are used to seeing gutless players letting the fans down every week because they spend their time watching Newcastle on Sky & thought they could just come & jump on our bandwagon.

Maybe it's important to remember that football is a great release and people behave differently at football than they do elsewhere, mostly. There's a few that behave the same wherever they go and we all know that we think of them. It's hard to think of another setting where you'll bellow stuff at the top of your voice for 90 minutes that you'd never think of saying anywhere else. The tribal mechanism kicks in. The only other similar thing I can think of is being in a band and for the duration of the band you think you're the best gang in the world and no-one else is nearly as good as you think you are.
