Home draw good but why not Welling Utd or Stourbridge.

Not ideal but certainly winnable.

That's a really nasty one, arguably only a couple of harder teams left, but on the plus side its at home
All we can do is give it a go

Can't say I'm happy with that. Home draw though I suppose. Just wanted to avoid Peterborough wolves and Coventry but Lady Luck wasnt on our side. Seen them on sky this season and they looked a very good side. Gona be a hard game and maybe a possible live game with them being former winners

Highly unlikely it will be on but I don't think it matters if you were on live in the previous round especially as both sky and itv show games.

Could have been way worse, never mind wolves or Peterborough what about MK away or easier ties like Chestrfield or Fleetwood away, anyone at home does me

I reckon Mr Cooper will be rubbing his hands at all these cup ties against higher league teams. It seems to help him push the team on. It probably helps the self-belief and team spirit as well.

Looking at the draw tamworth v Bristol city is nailed on to be on live. If Cambridge win there replay then there game v sheff utd is pretty much nailed on to be live. Then looking at it wolves and Peterborough are both at home so they won't be on. Pools v Coventry has a cracking chance. For 2 reasons, 1 they are recent winners and 2 its league 2 v league 1 so a potential upset. See what happens but the more I look at the draw the more I'm convincing meself we will be on. Be very good income if we get on. Coventry will fill the rink end no problem so gona make some good coin Out of it anyway. Can't see it being a tenner but fingers crossed that it is.

Working on that assumption , why have manure been live every game they've played in the Fa Cup since 2005, a run of 39 games.

I completely agree with that. The possibility of a sell out(or near as damn it) of the away end. Then seats will be the £25 maybe couple quid off if bought by both sets of fans during the lead up to the game. Terracing will be £20. I reckon we'll want full price, Coventry may object to that, but as they need the money that a long shot as well. Then if they do the FA will set the prices. Coventry can get 45% of a lot more at those prices than they can at £10 and £5

I don't think Cov are guaranteed to sell the away end at full price, I would keep it tenner and fiver, and the pie/beer sales will make up the shortfall.

Great draw, winnable but no shame if we get beat, not that we will. Would love to see 4 or 5 thousand there, memories of Tranmere 1977 and Derby 84 and Liverpool or Manure away in 3rd round please

I wouldn't be surprised if the Rink End was full for it, most Coventry fans have boycotted 'home' games at Northampton and have travelled in big numbers for away fixtures.

Should be a good game, proper cup tie bring them on.

Agreed.

I was quite excited by the draw and look forward to giving them the same treatment they gave us in the game at The Vic last season.

Then a nice away trip to a big club in round three or failing that Sunderland or Newcastle

It was about what I expected and a better crowd than lots of League One clubs got at home including the leaders, of 38 ties on the day it was in the top 10 crowds.

Do you have a random full stop generator on your keyboard? They appear all over in your sentences or do you have a stammer?

Coventry get nothing from pie/beer sales though.

Remember they're just out of administration.

Wimbledon who they knocked out of Cup in First round charged

Tickets are priced as follows:

Standing
Adults: £15
Concessions*: £9
Under 18’s: £4
*Over 65’s and Students with a valid picture ID

Seated
Adults: £19
Concessions: £12
Under 18s: £9

So Coventry were happy for their fans to pay £19 to seat, we can't charge them to stand.

I can't see Pools setting price at £10 for an adult to be honest. Minimum be £20 I reckon and going on those figures £15-£16 for the terracing. Those are on the day turnstile prices so there's a chance if bought in advance they may be cheaper for both sets of supporters.

Got to go £20 for Coventry Fans, £15 for Pools (Standing) and £20 (Seating)

Its the Second Round, its a biggish club, people will pay it.

Say Coventry bring 700, a mix of 550 Adults and 150 Concessions. Thats £12,500 Income from Away Fans.

Say Pools crowd is 3500, a mix of 2250 Adults and 1250 Concessions, split Seating and Standing. Thats £46250

Sooooo...£58750 income on the gate.

Nice payday! Add 10k Beer Pies Programmes....

If its on the tele it will be a tenner but if it isn't I would imagine £20 would be what they will ask for and maybe £15 to stand

they should make it millionaire's only in the away end, and let's say we charge them 10000 quid each, then we have 500 coming, that's err... loads!! Who needs to draw manyoo away? Piece of piss! Come on Pools this makes more sense than the last most senseriblist thing I said last time!!!

I actually agree with that, but I honestly can't see it. As ElvisC says it's the second round. One of the clubs will not be in the third so the option is for them to make as much this round to compensate. I even disagree with RB, and think it'll be more than £10 if its a TV game (though £10/£5 has more chance then).

We would had more chance of the £10 and £5 if we'd drawn the lowest ranking team left in the competition at home as that would have still been an ok pay day for them and Pools would have wanted to attract home fans.

I would be disappointed if there wasn't 3000-3250 Pools fans even at £15/£20 and Pools will know that. The Wimbledon v Coventry game was on TV the prices were as I said on a previous post and there was still 3,379 there.

Coventry to Wimbledon is shorter but that was a Friday night game. And any rush hour traffic on way down/round London could have added half the saved time back on to the journey than when coming up to this neck of the woods.

I'm going for £15 terrace £20 seating. I want to be wrong though

20 snots away end I reckon, 20% discount that. Coventry are homeless so every game is an away game anyway. I think they'll bring a fair few, about 700.

Why rip people off who are already travelling at a cost to get here.

If you reduce prices it's across the board not just for away fans £20 is no discount if you buy the tickets in advance. I don't agree at all with charging away fans more for the worst view in the ground.

I didn't say I agree either, it's just a punt on what will happen. Like everyone else, I don't know what they'll decide, or on what basis.

They have to give Coventry half of it back anyway, plus expenses, so they'll probably be looking at maximising Pools share, based on the fact that it could be the final take from the FA Cup this season.

I don't think that would happen as it's something Pools have never done before so I don't see why they would now.

There is logic in my thinking. Pools have set prices for the season, we all know what they are. Coventry are just out of administration, their board is totally disliked, so if they refuse to accept lower prices it hardly likely to mean more Coventry fans will dislike them. The chances are, once more in my opinion, then that the FA will set the prices. Now as the FA get 10% of any gate money, they're setting their own income, so can't see them going for £10 but thats me being sceptical. But bring £10 on I'd be over the moon.

That could well be some sort of compromise. We're all speculating, we all want as cheap as is possible.

To most supporters it will only be two games to pay for. The two cup games. Getting through to the next round of the JPT could influence the decision makers and hopefully help with lower prices. Having said that they could say the JPT has lower prices and free tickets for kids so they're doing there bit.

I think it's got a great chance of being on TV. Looking at the draw only Tamworth v Bristol City stands out a certain TV fuxture. Our game looks one of the ties of the round two in form teams the 'smaller' club at home. All the ingredients for a good cup tie, I don't see how Coventry being on in Round One is a reason for it not being on. That stood out because it was two former winners in fairly recent memory. This just looks a good game.
