 Post subject: pop up blockers

anyone recommend any freee one im getting porn and gambling thingys popping up all over, its not very good for my 6yr old. i only need a temporary fix as the pc im using is borrowed. please help

If that doesn't work you could try-
Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - Scroll Down to Messenger Service (Messenger) - Right click Options Disable + Stop

That worked for me!

Go on download.com, there's loads of free spyware blockers on there. Or go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add or remove Software and have a look at what's in there, you can usually spot the rogues.

You could try the old "system restore"-Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore then follow the instructions.

My lass downloads a lot of games too......ahem :uhoh: :wink:

its calmed down a hell of a lot, i darent put out on this pc as its only a borrowed one while mine gets mended (and not katcha its not blogged with porn :grin:) but the thing you mentioned and pooliekevs has done it the world of good, ta lads :wink:
