younguns County Cup Match on Sunday against a bunch of Mackems, Sunderland Plains Farm, has been postponed..................rather forfeited by the poncey mackem wankers.

They phoned and asked for an early kick off, as they all like to watch Sunderland play. Our manager obliged, but the Ref had another game in the morning, so could only bring it forward to 12:45. The refs are allocated by DFA.

Our manager informed their manager. One hour later he texted to say his lads might miss the kick off of the Sunderland game so would rather not bother playing......and so have forfeited the game. Even though the match would have been over by 2:15.

So can one of you younguns tell me when things changed so much that 15 year old kids would rather watch football than play themselves?

I hope Liverpool hammer the soft c unts.

Fucking mackems. :obscene-birdiered:

sadly its an epidemic of apathy amongst lads of a football playing age. ask any sunday league manager what the biggest issue they face these days, and most of them will tell you that its lads' shitty attitude towards just fookin turning up.

I am not nor ever have been any sort of footballer really, but when I started playing the thought of not turning up to a game i'd said I was going to just never occurred to me. I would feel like I was letting people down. spewing at half time thru drink or playing wrapped up in bandages was just something most people did at some stage or other, but not any more.

no saturday or sunday afternoon league any more, and I can guarantee that once the cold weather kicks in teams on a sunday who've been getting 15/16 lads up til now will start to struggle as the soft little twats roll over in their cots at ten o'clock.

fings ain't what they used to be :angry-tappingfoot:

At least it gives you the morning to go shopping, have a poncey Italian overpriced lager over a roasted ox lunch and then pop in to the Vic wearing sandals with white socks to enjoy a beasting!

This.
Players now wouldn't clear snow off the lines for the game to go ahead.
There's central heating in the changing rooms now FFS.

When I first started playing for your team, about 11 years ago with normo you'd get very strong turn outs n it was go to the pub after or else, the pub after was just as important.

Over the last 10 years something has changed n it's very hard to get younger lads in the pub these days.

After 4 years of managing this side I've finally got a bunch that turns up, pays subs, footy cards, buster and spends time in the pub but it's not easy at all.

Why anyone would rather watch Sunderland than play us beyond me.

Apathetic society.

Plain and simple.

We live in a society of assumed entitlement. If something is too much of an effort, we largely abandon it at the first hurdle.

The emerging generations are being brought up by people who seem to have lost any semblance of a work ethic and, as such, these kids think they don't have to put a shift in. They've been mollycoddled into believing that they are the centre of the universe by parents who buy a one ticket on the outrage bus when somebody tells them their child isn't the prolific genius they believed they were.

Rant over.

How many of you play if it was this afternoon at 3pm and you had a season ticket to go to the match?..This says as much about the stupidness of TV rights controlling when teams play games as it does of the attitude of the kids and anyway you're through to the next round...remember we where the Champions last year...

The words presented may not be the ones inputted ..Thanks Tapatalk

well the mackem wankers didnt turn up. But at least Liverpool dicked them to spoil their day.

Out of the county cup, fined and saw their team get dicked. A perfect end.

Thanks to Seaton carew who gave the lads a game at short notice.

Tis better to have a greasy spoon than be a seagull chasing a trawler for bait!
