The Champions League is meant to be the top level of club football isn't it?

The defending for that chance then the goalkeeping for Van Persies goal would fit in at a Darlo match.

Rooney has played very well to be fair, Man United look a bit pedestrian though somehow missing a spark.

I hate Man Utd and everything they stand for, however if they are playing in Europe I want them to win as they are English. I do have a very soft spot for the German teams though as they treat football fans right especially Bayern.

But they're not are they? Not really.

They're based in England, the employ some English people to do menial jobs around the place. But like most Premier League clubs they give most of the better paid jobs to foreigners, they are as interested in marketing themselves overseas as they are keeping the paying fans happy, they're a cancer on the game with the forcing of their branded shite into shops up and down the land making thickets who have never been to any live football game ever think they're proper life long fans and they're not even owned by someone from England.

I dont get this wanting them to win cos they are english.

The man u loving media try to make it that an english team winning the champions league is good for the whole of english football.

I havent heard or seen any evidence to say that is the case.

I just think it makes more kids in Hartlepool suddenly want to follow them rather than Pools, and it makes them richer, and widens the gap further.

The best thing would be if all english clubs went out at the group stage.

I think it would be best if the big 4 or 5 or 6 all fucked off on a one-way ticket into a Euro superleague and left the rest of us to it.

I would happily press the big red nuclear cruise missile button if it was aimed at Old Trafford.

Isn't there some sort of loophole in the statutes of history (wars of roses an' all tha') that leaves Manchester still in the control of the Plantagenets? Send the French fookers back.
