Got themselves 2 players who would piss Sunday league if that's right.

According to the Northern League website, Boyd is registered for Bishop Auckland still. He played a couple of games pre season and you could see his class.

Either he doesn't care about his contract at bishop or he doesn't have one. That was what happened with Ellison last season at darlo. He played on a Sunday under contract and darlo cancelled it

Be interesting to see if they turn up.

As a keen follower of the Northern League aswell as Pools I notice Boydie had not featured for Bishops in the League, he is registered on the Northern League's site but Bishop signed a couple of other strikers including Danny Brunskill since the season began. I would guess Boydie has left them although Bishop hold his registration.

I saw Boydie play for Celtic Nation and I commented how crap he looked against Consett this time last year. If anybody follows Bishops on here do you know the fully story? Nothing on their site or on Northern League forums?

can play Sunday mornings as long as they arent contracted on a Saturday but obviously their managers may not be happy with it. Marcos has been signed for the Ath for last few years before getting transfer to Smallies but hardly ever played he generally plays for Hetton if he turn out on a Sunday. Mickey Rae is also rumoured to be signing forthem again.

Aye that was my understanding of it and explains why Darlo cancelled his contract last year.

Boydy played a few pre season games for Bishop and registered to play. Not contracted so can leave with 7 days notice and can play Sunday's. Hasn't played a league game, and as far as I am aware no longer part of set up, but Bishop still hold his registration. I do know the reasons (from a good sauce, so won't comment further).

Thanks Mr Bishop, I was a great fan of Boydie- a shame somebody with massive natural ability has dropped down to the Northern League anyway at a reasonably young age. Great shame he has not made a go of it for you whatever the reason and is playing Sunday League.

I'm loving the Northern League this year , was hoping to see Boydie playing and doing well-what a waste of a talented and dynamic player when on his day.

So far have seen games at Durham, Billingham and Spennymoor and it looks really competitive!

No probs, glad you enjoying the NL experience. Decent standard of football. Shame Boydy not playing at Bishop as in the couple of games he played, you could see his class. Did look n ot totally fit though.

As an aside Bishop have signed a 17 year old called Harrison Smith. He is listed as being ex Pools. Presumably released from the youths. Anyone know much about him? Good turn?

Harrison played for 3 quids mob last year in the Sunday morning 2nd division and got better as the season went on, going up Bishops has gone a bit to his head but if he works hard he should make a decent Northern League player.
Trouble at the minute is he isn't getting any games on a Saturday and hasn't signed for anyone on a Sunday.

Gus Di Lella is player manager of the Gillesgate Moor pub team from Durham. Just a quick Sunday league fact.

he's a right character is Gus, definitely likes the north east... there was a pic of him a while ago in the paper with some old gadgies on an allotment, displaying the marrows they were growing for an upcoming competition!!!

Boydy came on as a sub for Bishop today at 0-1. Bishop won 2-1, Boydy didn't score but helped change the game. By all accounts.
