...if we lose to Accrington.
I'm only saying what others are thinking.
Its no good saying "oh we played ok first half, we just need the final touch perfecting".
Bollocks. 6 games without a win for a team just relegated is appalling. And one goal that was more chance than skill.
Cooper doesn't have a clue in my opinion and the club have no money.

If you think that the problem is lack of money then what the fuck is changing the manager going to achieve?

Stupid post of the week?
So coopers doing a fantastic job then eh?
The money reference was for not being able to bring in players, that together with a clueless muppet spells disaster.
Another manager would be able to get more from these players.

People need to take their head put of the sand. In another 5 games without a win what will you all be saying?
"We just need to find that cutting edge"
Weve gone from 5-0 winners to that!
Wycombe were chasing the ball right till the end like they were losing or something. We were sloppy. Austin was the laziest.

It's obvious the set of players inherited are not good enough. The last 3 managers have known this. But when your hands are tied with regard to contracts then what can be done. Sam is on the bench because Cooper knows he's not good enough and so do we. Yet because Ken wanted to left him he's taking a chunk of the wage budget. It's things like this that we have no money to spend

When will people listen...its Ken and Russ to blame....awful embarrassment of a chairman and an unbelievably inept chief-exec! Sack the board and not the manager!!!

If we lose another 5 games I won't be saying anything.

Successive managers have failed, players contracts and team selections have been baffling for a long time now.

I certainly can't blame Cooper though.

I want to see him shape a side playing some of the football we've witnessed cos that WILL get results long term... but sadly when we are at the foot of the fourth division we are only ever one season away from oblivion

Will the chairman and owners do something to help him while he tries to turn it round is the big question

I have a horrible feeling they won't.... and they'll just point the gun at Cooper instead and blame him

I honestly think he is trying to do the right thing but the belief is fragile and opposing teams know it

Just to get us through this season we are going to need a top class midfielder for our level, and a top class striker for our level... or else we may pay the ultimate price

I don't care what they have to do to get those 2 players in but by Christ we need them now

I see people's point in the club being the cause of most of our problems rather than the manager, but cooper has never proved himself as a manager. He could be worse than the rest of the dross we've had.

Come on then...whats your opinion on cooper? He has no managerial experience and hasn't really shown much has he? He's no better than previous managers when we went ten games without scoring or winning. But lets give him a chance as he's a nice chap.

Cooper must stay, he is a manager who is finally trying to get us playing football. The people who must go are the ones hiding behind FL rules on income, either fund our club the same way other owners are or fuck off. We're fulfilling our side of the bargain by buying tickets, shirts, food, drink etc. Where's their input?

We're sleepwalking into the conference and the wrong people get the blame every time. The fans have been patient enough, it's time to make the people who are choosing to put us in this mess accountable.

He clearly has an idea how he wants the team to play has shook a lot up behind the scenes and is working with his hands tied.

If you believe sacking a manager again is the answer you're frankly a moron who really needs to take his head out of the sand.

Cooper needs time and the right backing. We have spent the last few years hounding managers out, booing this player and that player.

Where we are now is through no fault of Colin Cooper. It is years of piss poor ownership and mismanagement from the top.

very small minority of Pools fans who blame Cooper or don't think he's the man for the job, whereas the majority would like to see him given a proper chance

However the reverse is probably true of Ken Hodcroft and Russ Green

I know its not his fault for the team he's got or the lack of players coming in. We're a league below and still the performances are the same as last season. We need a proven manager at this level. And yes, ken and his minions need a good seeing too also.

We where shit last season just because we where relegated doesn't give us the right to set the division alight ... And without any decent striker or attacking option in midfield were only going one way I'm afraid.

No but you would expect a slight improvement in performances, not hanging around the bottom again struggling the same as we did against much better oppostion.

Anyone with a proven record in the lower leagues. Cooper is an ex youth team coach he just doesnt suit us at the moment. Blame the club for another poor appointment.

It's obvious my opinion differs from the majority so I'm not going to bother arguing and getting my back up.

It's the proverbial 6 pointer next week, but I do hope Cooper and Hignett are given more time.

Nobody is happy with this situation but looking at the table and results, other teams around us are just as bad and we could be one or two wins from mid table.

I said this a couple of weeks ago. I sit near the dugout and all I see is Cooper with his arms folded and Hignett shouting at the lino every five minutes. NO motivation or barking out instructions. This is a job for an EXPERIENCED manager, not a manager trying to cut his teeth.

ok then... would IOR consider getting in a mentor in the Terry Venables/ Lennie Lawrence mode as used by managers in the past looking for inspiration? They sit in the background and could be paid outside of FFP almost certainly, as they would be in an advisory capacity

This way Cooper could be given time to develop, but with someone he trusts. Maybe Lawrence himself? (no not THAT Lawrence) as I'm fairly certain he must have known him from Boro at that time?

On going problems on the field are the result of on going problems at BOARDROOM level. Some people are cut out for dynamic leadership and some are not....then there are a handful of 'wanna be playboy' types who are clueless. I am sticking with Colin and hope he can produce something DESPITE being shackled to an inept boardroom !

MrJ lets say we sack Cooper (hypothetically but nevertheless totally out of order ) Who do we put in charge until your experienced manager is found ?

Or are you suggesting we leave him in charge while we look around for someone. I think Hewitson is our only alternative as caretaker boss. Swapping inexperienced for inexperienced.

One thing I didn't like from Cooper were his comments after the 5-0 win, talking about bringing the players back down to earth quickly. Why exactly?
