Whats these "typical Pools,have in the bag & throw it away" comments all about ??
Someone correct me if Im wrong but...........

2006/07 Dodgy start to the season,miraculous recovery gets us promotion & probably the title
2005/06 Shit season start to finish,Scotty killed us,Stevo tried to recover it but didnt quite get there.
2004/05 Steady season around the play off position all the way & finished in the play off.
2003/04 Steady season around the play off position all the way & finished in the play off.
2002/03 Ill concede,we had it in the bag & lost it.
2001/02 Steady season around the play off position all the way & finished in the play off.
2000/01 Great run towards the end of the season gets us into the play offs on the last day
99/2000 Ropey start,great recovery gets us into the play offs.
98/99 Awful season,good recovery saves us from the drop.

You always get people who claim its 'Typical Pools' to do well then blow it,yet the way I remember things its the other way round if anything.
Even this season if we dont lift the title its not a case of chucking it away,we performed a minor miracle to get into contention after the first 3 months.

I agree with a lot of what you said but unfortinutly the glass is half empty brigade look at things like this.

2007 ---?

2006 Started badly and probably got worse

2005 Fucked up in the play off final despite taking the lead

2004 virtually in the play off final till we gave away 2 goals in the last minute.

2003 - 14 points clear - and we fucked it up.

2002 - Got in the play ofs but fucked up on penalties.

2001 - Didn't turn up for the play off games

2000 - Failed to take chances in home leg - fucked up big style.....

It can be argued that every season ends tinged with at least a little bit of disappointment.....


BUT THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT..................
