Is one of those ambiguous phrases that I hate!

I have an assessment centre thing for a job with Black and Decker tomorrow and Thursday, and the dress code is 'smart casual' for the evening meal.

Can anyone shed any light on just how smart or casual I should go?

Everyything but a suit jacket. Like what elvisc says, I would also wear a tie (not a novely disney one) just in case as you can always take it off.....

i didnt realise this country still had a black and decker i thought it had all been sent to china and poland like most of the other industries. is it at spennymoor mampi?

... as it's Black and Decke, surely a pair of off the shoulder dungarees.

some guys i know who work at nsk in peterlee were training some polish lads over here to run there lines in poland, the polish were getting the english wages and going back home and modernising there houses, fitting kitchens, new heating etc :grin: .

the english lads who went to poland were just getting enough for beer money rolfl
