It would appear that the council have been absolute bounders all the way through and when they finally dithered to the right decision, it was too late. You ought to be able to demonstrate your unswerving support for a football team before you can stand as a councillor. Most of them seem to think anything to do with sport is derogatory to a town.

Councils vary a lot, but the Seadogs really seem to be suffering at the hands of theirs. Presumably they think the club gets in the way of all the flowerbeds. Wonder how many of them were there for the Chelsea game though, or were making statements about what a great day it was for the town/club?
