...are the dirtiest fuckers I've seen in a long time.

Although it looked like both penalty decisions were outside the box, their fella who got sent off blatantly kicked Nelson, their tackling was atrocious and every time they got the ball, they always kicked it out of play.

Glad we don't have to play them again, really.

On the plus side, Porter was absolutely amazing (HOW did Barker miss that from that Porter cross?) and we should've won about 7-0. Brown was excellent and we just need one point to make automatic promotion completely certain clappp

That red card was stupidity,he kicked a guy who was walking away right in front of the ref,he may as well have asked to go off.

Yep, GP, as you say, we'll never play them again, hopefully they'll submerge back to where they came from.

Porter was well up for it when he came one wasn't he? He looked very sharp as well you woudn't have thought he had been out for a long time.

If only Brown wasn't so 'reluctant ' to go in where it hurts occasionally he could be even better. Several times they broke away from situations where he bottled the confrontation.

I fully concur ! he's only a young lad so hopefully that side of his game may improve

I thought the two incidents leading up to the first pen were both yellows and thus red.

Also for the 2nd penalty, I would have taken that as a goal scoring chance and their defender was the last man, yet there wasn't even a yellow card never mind the deserved red

There should definitely have been a yellow shown to the defender working himself to the linesman after the second pen was awarded. Not sure if he committed the foul or not.

A half Nelson is still twice as good as any centre back in the lower leagues.

.....how can the two possibly be related? ..... his 'weak points', namely the shying away from the 50:50 tackle and the habit of receiving the ball in space and then hesitating to review his options would surely be unhelpful to the 'wiser older striker' you speculate on ...you are going into Grassy Knollington territory here by the way.

Funny how people can see a game so differently......

'guess who got Mangan sent off? that fat bald headed cheating **** Nelson. the same guy who got harris sent off. mangan tapped his ankles and he went down like a sack of spuds. disgusting. ref was against us and gave them two wrong pens. hartlepool are a dirty dirty team.

on another day we'd have hammered them. we did outplay them throughout.'

Which blind bloke said that??? The guy took a kick at Nelson, Red Card, no question. the first penalty was a definite foul. Can't really comment on the second without seeing it again.

And on another day they'd have hammered us... what a delusional person.

I've put a reply on to him, no surprises who have the worst disciplinary record in the division by the way.....

Does anyone remember Dimi making a save that me or you couldn't save?!

But it's not just one Accrington fan saying this, is it?

Bossed the defence? That bald tart Nelson falling down every 2 minutes & hoofing it clear?

You cheated a win today.

Be proud.

On no it wasn't a penalty. It was a flaming swallow dive worth about 6.0.

The referee was conned good and proper as he was all afternoon. Paul Mullin was nearly throttled on a couple of occasions and we got nowt for it. Yet everytime we tackled (and I mean legally tackled) the Monkey Hangers fell over like a sack of spuds. Not one booking for diving to them.

I also have sympathy for Mangan. He didn't kick Nelson, he tripped him and Nelson should be ashamed firstly for saying something to mangy and then rolling over like he'd been shot.

David Martin, Rocky Williams & Andy Proctor - ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. These three inparticularly outplayed Hartlepool throughout, I'm extremely proud of the way they battled til the end.

Unlucky lads - 1-0 to the ref

I know Wikipedia isn't the be all and end all as far as facts are concerned but they do give a very good account of why Accrington FC were founder members of the Football League and Accrington Stanley FC are an entirely different club, despite their claims.

Ironic thing about them calling us 'Divers' is in the first half one of there defenders went down holding his head claiming I think it was Monkhouse had kicked him, He didnt touch him

He rolled around for a fair bit, The Ref didnt allow him any treatment and he amazingly promptly got up, 30 seconds later cleared the ball again, Nothing wrong with him

They had two good chances yesterday, But were comfortably dealt with by Dimi, They were cynical tacklers & a times ugly tacklers aswell

I thought Accrington Stanley were a decen ish team, I know we creaed a lot of chances and should of scored more but they also had some chances. They were a bit enthusiastic with their challenges but at least they had a go unlike a lot of teams that have come to the vic.
