Yes he scored 2 yesterday can't critiscise that. As iv said many a time all I want from a striker is goals. Be shit all game but score and I couldn't care less how shit they are.

Ps 3/24 isn't very good is it

Ritchie, Ritchie, Ritchie...cast your mind back to the likes of James Brown and Eifion Williams, they created far more goals than they scored themselves which was infinitely more beneficial. Howard scored two goals yesterday but he is just a 25 clem lump who doesn't create opportunities for other players. People like Poole may get slated on this forum for not banging them in from 30 yards but he is constantly looking to create chances for other players. He has a much more rounded approach to his game and that normally helps other players to chip in with a few goals, something which has been sorely lacking this season.

Yeah, for people like Tony Sweeney.

That has been the main problem this season. Sweeney is a fox in the box, feeding on scraps from creative team-mates, but he has been starved of service. Consequently, we've looked anaemic. In an ideal world, Sweeney would chip in with 10 goals per season, which is not an unrealistic target given his previous exploits in front of goal. But Howard isn't a fan of holding it up for Sweeney and co; unless Jedward say, of course; "big Steve, could you hold my pint while I get in half a dozen Jagerbombs in for the lads".

I've looked, looked, and looked again, but all I can see is a childish comment. I respect your right to an opinion, but not when you come in all guns blazing trying to provoke people.

ha ha no provocation at all. if anything you're trolling for a bite with your comments regarding howard, who's made a decent career being employed by managers who know a fuck's sight more than you or i ever will about football.

james poole has a more rounded approach to the game ? great stuff, get him up top holding the ball up against neanderthal centre rarfs and bringing people into play, and winning headers against the same. howard was more effective yesterday because we played to his strengths.

James Poole was playing really well last season, scoring goals, creating chances, and all this ensured that our away form was one of the best in the league by November. And he never got the benefit of the '90 minute clause' which has guaranteed Howard's permanency in the starting XI. No-one is suggesting that he would play well as a target man, but I argued that playing exclusively to Howard's strengths has resulted in the relative anonymity of our key players, such as Sweeney.

Target men have served us well in the past, but hoofing the ball up to Howard all the time has caused this crisis. Can you not remember the phrase, "there is no I in team"? And as for him having a good career, the stats don't lie: he played about 10 first-team games for Leicester during his spell there, obviously he was a highly-rated player in the team.

You don't half spout some shite, but at least it appears you're doing it on multiple threads.

Some of the stuff you're spouting sounds like you don't even go to the games but are joining the dots between reports in the papers and what you read on here.

Maybe people should stop feeding you.
