bloody hell! just nicked this off the fly me site.......

STOCKTON RIVERSIDE FRINGE FESTIVAL 2007

The Legendary Echo and the Bunnymen, singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy and The Ordinary Boys are to headline the 2007 Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival.

Echo and the Bunnymen will close the whole festival on Sunday 5th August, Badly Drawn Boy will be the headliner on Saturday 4th August and The Ordinary Boys (with or without Chantelle) closing the main stage first night on Friday 3rd August. Negotiations are in an advanced stage which will also bring other high profile bands to the Stockton event.

The quality of the line-up for this year’s main stage takes the Fringe to a level which puts it into the top rank of UK Summer Festivals. The Fringe Festival’s main stage will once again be on Stockton’s riverside with a site capacity of 10,000. This year the Fringe will include a comedy stage, also on the riverside site.

All Fringe events are free of charge, including the main music stage and comedy tent.

More announcements on the main stage line-up and other Fringe events will be made as they are confirmed

not bad that like is it?!!!! :sweeeet:

Pretty impressive for a Freebie.

Badly Drawn Boy can be hit or miss as a live act though.... Saw him at Move at Old Trafford a few years back and it was a mixture of the inspired and the shambolic.

Reasonably high profile names, better than your average freebie certainly! Not sure I'd go as far as saying it puts them in the top rank on the summer festival scene though.....

I've managed to avoid Badly Drawn Boy three times now!

Supporting REM/Idlewild at Lancs CCC - went for a wander for beer (i caught a couple of his songs)
V Festival 2005 - watched someone else, forget who
Supporting Pixies at Brixton Academy - stayed in bar

Might have a mosey to Stockton to avoid watching him again

Lancs CCC Mr Mad, I was at that, took our little 'un for her birthday, first time she'd ever seen REM and she's a big fan. We came in during John Squire who was frankly bloody awful but Idlewild were excellent. I can take or leave Badly Drawn Boy to be honest, too whimsical by far for me.
