Sunderland as you are aware beat Cardiff 0-1 yesterday in Cardiff.

Anyway a lot of fans decided to fly down to Bristol with easyjet.

21.30 flight home last night was full of Sunderland fans and some press and Sunderland club officials including Niall Quinn.

Anyway a Sunderland fan was kicked off the plane for been drunk when really he has a mental disability, easyjet refused to reason and accept this despite the pleads of fans and Niall Quinn. This lead to another 11 fans been kicked off the plane.

Anyway the plane was grounded for approx 40 mins so easyket staff could "check some paperwork" - 10 minutes later the flight was cancelled and coppers have surrounded the plane.

Niall Quinn tried to sort it out but easyjet were having none of it. Anyway Quinny told all the fans to go back inside and wait. Quinny during this time was on the phone to local taxi firms getting taxis sorted out to get the fans home, also withdrawing money from his personal bank account.

Approx 35 taxi's someone said to get the lads home last night.

I am not on here just to blow te trumpet for the bloke, but how many other football chairman would do this?

Probably cost him about £15000 to £20000 last night. "These are my people" were his words he used last night.

Great gesture that.

Bloody hell, this is amazing clappp

Met Quinny once as he got off the team bus at wolviston services as we were filling up at the time.

He came over to us as he saw our Pools shirts and asked how we got on and talked about Pools for half hour or so.

He seemed a top bloke and a true Gent and this seems typical of what he would do and I bet this is not the last he does about this carry on.

Friend of mine worked in the development department at Man City when he was there and from what she tells me, I'm sure it wouldn't surprise her. She says he could never do enough for them, pub draws, autographs, school visits, fan forums, he was always available, always said the fans come first.

Top man.

The man spent 3 days in Gillespie Rd school, encouraging local kids and giving away red "JVC" Arsenal shirts. A true gent.
Still have that shirt if you wanna swap a Real shirt for it Sarf??
