Sir Ken needs to realise that our ticketing sales system is hopelessly out of date. Its almost impossible to buy tickets over the phone because the two sales assistants are selling to the steady stream of people at the windows. When you phone up and select the ticket office option the phone rings four times and then cuts you off. If you advertise a ticket office number you actually need to have a telephone queing system and someone actually answering calls.

Most people buy tickets for most events on the internet so why don't we have an internet sales site. Clubs like Wycombe seem to be able to offer the option but not Pools. How many potential customers didn't go last night because they couldn't get a ticket on the phone and weren't prepared to risk travelling and not getting in? Locals might be prepared to take that risk but people travelling from further afield or with youngsters in tow are less likely to do so, especially when there are reports/rumours of stands selling out.

Its not a case that we haven't been here before with ticketing problems. This has now been going on for years - ever since IOR got involved. So come on Pools/Sir Ken, surely the system can be improved. banghead banghead

And it slightly got on my tits that whilst in the office buying tickets, there was a phone incessantly ringing, wiith no-one looking like answering it.

I can't agree more.

The club were advertising the fact that the last few games were going to sell out, therefore they should anticipate demand and cater for it.

It would help if they employed staff with customer service skills. the one that served me yesterday was nice enough, but the other one was biting everyone's head off, and had no urgency about serving people, despite a long queue.

And those speaker things they have made her sound like a Dalek.

500 unsold tickets at say £15 equals £7500. You can get a lot of telesales temp staff for that or quite a large slice of a ticketing system I would guess.

Cant disagree with that, It puts a lot of people off aswell & people get the hump about the ticket office

I think for Tickets they should also do Online Bookings aswell as Telephone, Would be a good money earner for the club & also gets them hits on the website

Has anybody been and bought the Darlo DVD. I went down yesterday afternoon to the club shop and was told that they were only on sale from the ticket office. I queued at the ticket office for 25 minutes to buy the DVD. Why ? Surely the DVD should have been on sale at the club shop. I wonder how many people have walked away because the queue was too long and they couldn't be bothered to stand in it.

Me! I queued for a few minutes then gave up when the queue didn't move. They were actually queueing up inside the office, it didn't look like there was much room for people to get back out again. I have ordered the DVD on the Net instead. I also wanted a Bristol Rovers ticket but gave up, will get my Mam to go for it in the week.

I could be wrong, but I thought that a percentage of anything sold in the club shop was taken by the shop onwers (Just-Sport?) - if they sell it in the ticket office then they get too keep the lot.

they are completely and utterly obsessed with the bloody database. as a security measure its completely pointless. i could walk up to the ground and pay in at 7 0 clock without i.d last night. i could even pay into the away end, so why cant i buy a ticket from the ticket office at 6 o clock ?

i made an official complaint about the dalek in the ticket office 5 years ago and nearly got banned for the ground as a result. she shouldnt be within a mile of the public the sour faced cow.

i agree clappp
