It does help actually, Darlo are in the Northern League, that will never fail to make me laugh.

Cheers.

It would be fantastic if we could look forward to a table top clash with Ashington.

Seeing something approximating to Darlo's name on that table actually helps a lot. Thanks Sussex you big old softy. Languishing near the bottom of the table but so much higher up the pyramid suddenly doesn't seem so bad. Full time players, owning four bus shelters and competing in the third tier of English football on a regular basis really isn't that much of a a hardship compared to being homeless part-timers without a pot to piss in.

Was it only a season and a bit ago that some members of this forum were actually saying that they would give up midtable obscurity in league one for an FA Trophy final at Wembley? Yes you did.

Dont be surprised if some of them actually say watching a winning team is better than struggling in league one. Even if it is the Northern Lague.

I am surprised someone hasnt already said it.

You're right.

It is frustrating that an obscure football club without a pot to piss in has fans with such a vapid reflection on football.

It's frustrating that we can't convince you that, really, we find your club pitiable.

You keep on knocking 3 goals past a team of milk men and estate agents every week. You might play Blyth Spartans in about 8 years.

Bless.

I was referring to not winning at home for 9 games on the trot, getting stuffed 5-0 in lowly cup games etc ,compo..
It breaks my heart coming on here after a Pools match with all the bickering going on.

Ah but to play in THAT lowly cup game one needs to be a league club, doesn't one????

There's a new GAP nowadays. The time lapsed between Darlo's last league cup game and their next. Any guesses????

When are the draws for this years, Northern League Cup, Ernest Armstrong Memorial Cup and J.R. Cleator Cup are they Live on ITV?

Also does victory in the J.R Cleator still mean an automatic UEFA Cup slot or do you have to start in the qualifiers?

Yeah.

But Darlo are in cups that I would serve tea in.

Which is ironic, seeing as you've been taken for mugs.

You won't soak up much atmosphere in Darlo Sussex, unless you go and watch the RA.

I think a 100+ goals this season is a realistic figure for us..

True, but when matches are regularly abandoned at 13-11 because the ball owner has to be in for his tea that sort of total isn't unusual. I once scored 17 in a Sunday afternoon, including two that went in off a tree, but the full time professional Football League clubs weren't impressed, it got dark, and I had to go back to Subbuteo.

Do you have offsides at your level?

Oh I dunno, if you had another bucket collection you might be able to get a goalkeeper on 'pay as you play....' Keep it down to 80 mebbees?? :?
