Lincoln City have completed the signing of striker Colin Larkin on a deal that keeps him with the Imps to the end of the season.

Larkin, 30, was released by Hartlepool United at the end of last season.

Lincoln City manager David Holdsworth told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We do require goals and Colin's come for all the right reasons.

"He's fit and ready to go, which is a really important factor. He's a very good addition to our squad."

Holdsworth added: "It's nice to be able to bring in a guy who's 30 years old but very quick and very able. As a manager, it's nice for me to be able to attract that type of player."

Larkin began his career with Wolves before a loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers, which was followed by a move to Mansfield Town in 2002.

The Irishman then had stints at Chesterfield and Northampton Town before moving to Hartlepool.

Dibble will be gutted. He was only saying the other day how he hoped we re-signed him.

Good luck.

Always 100% effort.

Just a shame it didn't quite work out.

Good luck?
He had 3 seasons, picking up a decent wedge for the sum total of not many goals!

Did he play?

He may have had 54 appearances in 3 seasons, but that encompasses about 30 substitutions with 10 minutes left into a position that didn't fit.

And the other 24?
Yes he was a trier but regarding the 3 years he was at the club a total waste of money!

We have wasted a lot of money on a lot of players recently. At least he gave a shite.

Behan, Yantorno, McSweeney, Boyd, Kyle, Luscombe, Nish, Parker, Mackay, Donaldson...

The list goes on.

got stuck in but he lacked that vital ingredient... ability in front of goal!!!! His one on one miss at Exeter a couple years back to get us back into the game was more about complete lack of belief in himself that he could finish, than anything else. It looked to me like he wished it was anybody else in that position than himself, and I think he'd still have missed if the keeper dived out of the way. Bearing down on goal with no defender in sight and plenty of space to run into and decide where to put the ball, but still couldn't do it.

One occasion of many where his job was to put the ball in the net and was woefully short on confidence... you can have that in a striker over a short term but not for all the time he was here!!!!

Best rid I'm afraid to say
