Not in the squad tonight....

Heard last week his loan move away fell through because we didn't have another striker lined up.... Maybe we do now?

Especially considering we are conceding goals aswell

Colin nish was never ever good enough amd was a waste of a wage. If me pointing out the obvious makes me a crank then your honour I'm guilty. Ffs he was awful from day 1. We need new blood and freeing his supposedly big wage IMO is a massive benefit to our season.

After watching that tonight there's plenty more in all fairness!!!

We need changes and that's tactics players and fitness. The future currently looks bleak

Well I wish Colin Nish all the best, and I am pleased for the bloke to get out of HUFC, and away from our cretinous fans.

And if the other decent players we have got had any sense, they would be looking to get away from them as well.

Colin, the masses have got their way, and they have got the big striker they all craved, and are just loving the long ball game to his head that they hate you for.

Good luck.

In concurrence.

Poole and James way off the pace at the moment and neither appear to be strikers. Great time to ship out our only other striker

Well if Poole and James aren't strikers, how come Nish is? What are their comparitive goalscoring records in this division. Nish scored a goal which he pinched of Flinders and another two against an eighteen year old kid, who was making his debut.
I'll tell you a story about Mr Nish.
One of our local postmen is a Hibs season ticket holder, was born near their ground and was on their groundstaff as a kid.
I asked him about Nish and after making some comment which I won't repeat, he advised me that I would soon be able to answer my own question.
James is seventeen for goodness sake.

19 appearances 4 goals

Hardly enough time to prove anything, I must admit.

So we all know penalties don't count. Now it seems neither do goals scored against young keepers making their debut.

The eighteen year old kid is actually a centre half and the goals were credited to Nish and acknowledged by me when I used the words " he scored"

Think Poole and James didnt have the experience to play alongside Noble.
They will be nowhere near the same wavelength as the vastly experienced Howard. Nish would have had more experience, but what would that have done to i) pace of the front two ii) midfield, passed continuously by the high ball out of defence iii) loss of posession and pressure quickly returned to the defence?

Noble may have limited experience but may be a better option than either of the previously mentioned.

Return Murray to the midfield (was under the impression Walton was the future, post Murray, not an immediate replacement)

Franks returned to right wing berth.

its a start.

Could have been a very good player for us. Showed glimpses when he did play that he was very good with the ball at his feet and not the target man people were crying for (how's that gone so far btw?).

A shame he's gone as I reckon he's the only player with the experience to play off Howard.

Another good player that can't wait to leave pools.
On saturday i sat in the millhouse seats for the first time in a while and this gadgie showered Horwood and
Monkhouse with abuse for the whole first half.
i moved onto the terrace for the second half and could still hear him. i feel like giving my season ticket up as i'm not liking it anymore.

Come on, he's not the 1st player weve had who came down from jockland and didnt settle (Jack Ross). Only Ross was a much better player.
My only disappointment is he's only guaranteed to be on loan till January so might restrict us to how long ken would bring a loan signing in for.

He did get over top, counter productive bile spat at him from very early on from a section of our 'support' but ultimately that's not why he's left Pools, the reason he's left on loan is because it seems Neale Cooper doesn't rate him. He was quoted very early on when he got the job saying things along the lines of he's got to to put himself about more and work harder, this was before he'd even played for Pools under him. You see he's the one player apart from the lads who were here the last time he was who'll he'd probably seen a lot of and had a pre conceived about. I'm not even sure he's even started a game since Cooper arrived?
