This is why this message board has gone to shit. Petty, probably drink fuelled attempted point scoring.

We were under the cosh when Luscombe came on, he barely saw the ball apart from two crosses one was decent one was appalling. Barely worth a mention in the context of the 90 minutes.

They are a complete mugs game like, I once watched a mate lose nearly a grand on the Roulette in a about half an hour. Most of his money was centred around one number that obviously never dropped in while he squandered most of his months wages. After he admitted defeat I said I'll show you how rigged these machines are. I put a quid on his number and it dropped straight in first press. Funny that.

Maybe not but he went out of his way to quote me repeatedly when I joined and not in a good way. He seemed to make it personal then cry when I started to do it back.

I arrived at the ground just as Luscombe came on, and I have to admit to thinking thank god I didnt pay to watch him play. There you have player that did less training during the summer break than I did, and I am 36, and no longer play at a decent level.

He looks a joke, and something of a throw back to the early 70''s when we were a shite div 4 team, who just ended up with all the cast offs from everywhere else.

A talented waste of space in my opinion, who doesnt deserve the support off his own mother never mind people that have paid to watch him.

Dont care how good he might turn out. I wont EVER pay to watch him play, unless I was asured by the club that he had done a full preseason training regime, and he was the weight he should be.

Feel free to disagree.

Eh - nope, agree with every word.

The only reason there have been so many Luscombe threads (granted this one is a pisstake) and Nish threads too for that matter, is because Pools have a threadbare squad and people are desperately hoping that these players will either finally come good or get shipped out. At the minute, there's ONE player not in the first team who has a strong claim that he should be - Murray. James, Baldwin, Holden should all feature quite a bit over the course of the season but are not the finished article yet. Feck Financial Fair Play, feck IOR's fabled tight ship approach - it's going to be a long, hard 10 months if Pools don't add some more quality to the squad.

I'm hoping that Cooper has 2 or 3 players lined up who he wants on loan from the likes of Sunderland or Newcastle before the end of August and is just waiting to see who these kind of teams are going to let out on loan when they've finalised their own squads.

I voiced these concerns, in the right quarters, about the strength of our squad before the game on Saturday. I was told not to worry.
No detail was given and to be honest I didn't press for any.
So we'll have to wait and see but the club are aware of the situation.
Read into that what you want but I am content not "to worry" for a few weeks.

Noble will do. Would obviously like more but his quality would be a huge boost for us. The more the merrier like but if we were limited to signings noble would certainly be top of my list.

Was Noble on bench for Sunderland at weekend?

Good, looks like at least 4 ahead of him in pecking order?

Yep- Campbell, Sessegnon, Saha and Wickham. Plus I think they're trying to sign at least one more forward too. Maybe whether or not they're succesful in that might determine whether or not we get Noble.

I'd be buzzing to have his quality for an entire season. Really impressed me when on loan and playing alongside Howard would probably benefit him more than James did least season. Maybe try Luke James on the left. It would be very nice to have options ,well good ones anyway. Hopefully Sunderland sign a new striker, a left back, centre mid and left winger :-o
