it's pretty much a first for me.
I didn't know who we were playing yesterday and I didn't know what competition it was!
I still have no idea whats happened to the fixtures, why did we play a cup game first??

Anyways, I've surprised myself. In other years I had zero interest in the running races an that, but these 'Lympics have shown what can be done with a lot of desire and ambition to fulfill your lifes goal! People who have achieved while performing through the pain barrier, REAL pain! Our national football team could learn a lesson, but will they?
Will they buggery!
Their lifes ambition and goal has been achieved, and thats to make pots of money, walk around with over sized head phones on, to abuse people, to rape lasses, to be satisfied with mediocrity, to dive and cry and cheat and pretend to be in pain.

We should finally make our feelings known to these repulsive under achievers, but will we?
Will we buggery!!!

Hands up who's looking forward to the Charity Shield?! [it IS today innit???]

Football can fuck off, bring on the Parolympics - a group of truly inspiring people doing magnificent things with an indominitable spirit!!

Before you start, I know there'll be track + field competitors who'll have cheated, of course there will! I know Jamaica don't drug test for instance, but it's been other human beings who may not have even won that have shown our national game up! Danny Sturridge's sulky strop in the football is a case in point.

I've never felt like this before. Have I fallen out of love with football?
Time will tell I suppose.

Wish I had a quid for every time someone said over the past few weeks that footy players are over paid over hyped etc

Over paid - hardly the players fault, not gunna turn down a big wage are they.

Over hyped - again hardly the players fault the media writes about them none stop.

Most of the problems in footy are down to the clubs and sky tv

Thats exactly how I feel.I've loved the Olympics so much that football seems tawdry and vacuous in comparison ....... But gives me a few weeks and I'll be waving me foam finger around whilst I slurp my mc'cola, go soccerooo's!

And one more thing, the Jamaican athletes are just as stringently tested for drugs both at home and abroad as anyone else.

Me too mate. Forget football....it's road cycling for me. No electronic gears....just Shimano cogs and my endeavour.

I love football. Love it.

I hate the English premier league, and I hate "professional" footballers that cant see that drinking on a staurday night makes them anything but professional.

I hate to see very very average fotballers getting paid shit loads of money, and others, too thick to get it, describing the premier league as the "Best in the world".

I hate having to watch football stood close to, some of the tickest cretins the world deemed to allow to be born.

I hate seeing gangs of thick blokes walking down the street after games, actively looking to shout abuse, or worse, at blokes that just happen to follow a different team.

Usually surrounded by enough policemen to make them feel safe enough to do so.

The atmsosphere during the Olympics should be an eye opener for everyone, but it wont.

It will be a couple of weeks, before shouting abuse at your own heroes becomes the norm, and acceptable, and booing your own team off becomes a regular occurence.

Then the same morons will go to the world wide web, to tell everyone else how its fair to do so, and they only do it cos they love their club etc etc.

I see on another thread that the obligatory Colin Nish abuse has started already, even though the bloke hasnt played yet.

Marvellous.
