Regardless of whether he looked shaky today, to say he is a weak link in our defence is a fecking joke.

He is a great keeper, best we have had for a very long time.

Our fans are so fickle, it was only a few weeks ago that we where hailing his save against Sunderland amazing and giving him man of the match.

Sweeney is pretty useless playing in the team we have at present, he may have scored against Newcastle but he hardly touched the ball in pre season friendlies.

We need a creative player in there, for me it would be luscombe if he can get fit

Surely Monkhouse is seen as a weak link too ?

The midfield looks outrageously weak to me (I will exclude Franks from that comment) if we are going to 442

Monkhouse is the weakest link. Sweeney is great if you can lay it off to run on to. As for tackling and passing he is piss poor.

Dare I also say I think James is a little out of his depth at present. He is only young and it can obviously go either way for him. He definitely needs to get stronger and I think he was struggling to read Steve howard in the friendlies. However, the more he plays the better he should get.

The problems lie down the left. Same as last year. Austin is hit and miss, horwood and monky for me are just miss.

Dropping Murray from the holding role has created an extra problem which must resolved or swindon will add more misery on us
