never seen that one coming like. I wondered if something was up when Evans left there, but obviously they must still have something going for them to persuade a manager to leave a club from the same division, who could be seen to be a bigger club

Good luck to him- Crawley seem a strange set up-not much known about finance etc- Barker obviously sees this as as good move-can only think they've offered him more£££ and bigger budget- He will get a good reception whoever he is with at the Vic.

I read somewhere that managing further down South at Crawley is easier for his family. I wish him all the best.

That seems strange when you consider he spent all of his playing career in the North of the country, so I would have assumed his family was from the North, but obviously its his decision & I hope he does well (except the 2 games against Pools obviously).

Yes he did I forgot about that, but the rest of his career was in the North.
