I heard Tinkler laugh, he laughs like a girl, but it accentuated the stupidity of that fan

That was one of the funniest moments that I have witnessed at a football match, what made it funnier for me was when he tried to break from the coppers holding him which then caused half a dozen more rush in to wrestle him down.

All in all i thought that the coppers and stewards did an excellent job today though.

Seconded - Within the ground the sorted out the problems really quickly both in the corner but also behind the other goal at the death, for the last couple of minutes a stream of 'fans' lined up at the hoardings and looked like they were going to get on the pitch as soon as the whistle went, a few coppers and a bunch of stewards soon turned up and quelled the possible invasion.

I also have to say that the route back to the station was well planned (albeit a long way round) and very well policed - plenty of opportunities of trouble but a large number of bobbies along the route seemed to stop any aggro.

Croydon did you see that Darlow fan throw a glass bottle just as we got the station? To me, it looked like it hit a police man/van.

I didn't - We left the ground and were about 100 yard ahead of the escort - as we got to the station it looked like it was about to go off in Hogan's the pub on the left hand side as you turn right into the station.

Was I the only one feeling a little aprehensive approaching the 'skinny bridge'? It was only wide enough for a car and single file on the path, and due to the bend you couldn't see the other end!?! As everywhere else on the route there was a few bobbies on the other side though.

That narrow bridge seemed like something out of football factories.

Were you escorted to the ground as well?

When we sang One Step Beyond to that policeman, "Hey you, dont watch that Watch this! This is the heavy heavy monster sound" rolfl

All in all, we got home safe so no complaints with them today.

No, due to engineering works our train wasn't scheduled to get into Darlo until 1247
Thankfully it turned up five minutes early and I was in my seat as the players were coming out.
